1. The Gun Seller- Hugh Laurie. This is such a funny book. It’s ironic, sad and it makes you think. Thomas Lang is a miserable and sarcastic character but at the same time can be a proper gentleman around the women. It’s wonderfully written by the man who plays the sarcastic Dr Gregory House on House MD.

2. The Da Vinci Code- Dan Brown. I enjoyed

I read #2 & #4 off your list, although both disappointed me. The first because I figured out the ending a good hundred pages before it happened, and the latter because it isn't as good as the other installments in the series.

I've always wanted to read #1, #6, & #9. The latter I actually own a copy of, I've just never got around to reading it :).

The Da Vinci Code never disappointed me. Actually number four was the first one I read of the series. I got into the tv series of the Wire in the Blood series before I read the books.

The Gun Seller is great and hopefully it will be turned into a movie.

Dude, I love "The Hound of the Baskervilles"! M has it in English and French (I don't speak French) -- it is the favorite Sherlock Holmes tale of our household. I really like the atmosphere.

It's my favourite Sherlock Holmes Novel but I don't own a copy. I just kept borrowing it from the library.
