Thank you for being the sacrificial lamb. Now I won't feel as frightened when I finish up my review, because I really didn't think it was that bad either.

As for Psylocke, I'd heard about her being in the movie, then I saw the movie, then I rechecked IMDB to see if there actually was a character named Psylocke in the movie. What a waste of a hot mutant.

Did the Ghost Rider trailer run before your showing of X3?

Nope, I've yet to see a Ghost Rider trailer.

I did see Nacho Libre which was really good. I had little interest in the movie before, but I have plenty now.

I also saw My Super Ex Girl Friend, which was eh. Worth a rental perhaps.

There was also one coming up called Zoom. Tim Allen as an superhero teacher. Like Sky High I guess, but focused on the teacher instead of the students. The trailer didn't show much so I don't know if it's going to be any good or not. It was a bad trailer in that regard.

I did see the Superman trailer. Kevin Spacey as Luthor looked better than I thought he would. I still wish they used Brainac as a villain instead. I'm sick of Luthor.

I never saw anybody resembling Psylock in the movie. Unless it was that speedster who could detect mutants and their power level. I wished they used a real character, instead of a made up one. Her power seemed to be more of a plot device.

I think the speedster/mutant detector was their version of Caliban, only, you know, a chick-- that they named Callisto. Fucking movie.

You are dead to me.

Not really. I'd get into this more, but I'm trying to put this whole episode behind me. I guess I'll just have to allow that you are entitled to your opinion. How big of me.

I came in with low expectations. I mean, I was excited for the movie. But I knew in advance they had a new director, were on time constraints and done a bunch of re-writes. And I knew they had to take great liberties with the Phoenix story because the space stuff just wouldn't work.

Okay, I can't leave it alone. If this was the best they could do given all the problems before hand, they shouldn't have bothered.

Here's the biggest liberty they took with the Phoenix story, which was unforgivable-- the death (and therefore exclusion) of Cyclops. The story doesn't work without him. Period. If the actor didn't want to come back, either recast him, or don't do the Phoenix story. Once Phoenix kills the most important person in her life (then proceeds to kill the second most important person in her life), then it's game over. There's no coming back and she should've just slaughtered people at will. She's uninteresting at that point, as there is no internal struggle or humanising factors to her character. It would be as though Elijah Wood didn't want to come back for Return of the King, so they killed him off after five minutes of screen time with a line of dialogue ( ... )
