Eh, you had to see in the eighties to truly appreciate it. Then, the fourth wall thing was revolutionary.

Howie Mandell is one of those embarassing Canadians us regular Canadians don't really like to think or talk about.

I agree.
You can hardly call yourself a movie snob and NOT have seen Ferris!

FOR SHAME.

I still don't get what the big deal about the movie is. It's a better than average teen comedy, but that's about it.

You can't go back and watch movies that help define an era and appreciate them if you didn't experience them back in the era they defined. I felt similiarly when watching Say Anything for the first time a few months ago: a better than average teen comedy, but that's about it.

Who are you referring to? I'm the one who doesn't hold it up as an icon of film!

I just... haven't insulted you for a couple of days. I gotta get cracking or I won't meet my quota.

I'll take this opportunity to say that Alan Ruck is an incredibly underrated performer, and that Jennifer Grey was sexier before her nosejob.

I will agree with both points. I also forgot to mention in the review that this movie is probably Charlie Sheen's 2nd best pseudo-cameo performance.
