After being insulted by Andy the Saint for never having seen this movie (despite the Saint never having seen Top Gun), I figured I'd better check it out to avoid further verbal abuse (even though the Saint has left the bucolic splendor of Music World once again).

My thoughts are that despite a completely implausible storyline by John Hughes (which seems to be his forte *cough*HomeAlone*cough*), Ferris Bueller is a pretty alright movie. I'm not that big a fan of breaking the wall & talking directly to the viewer, but whatever.

Minus a few bits with the museum that seemed to be almost masturbatory filmmaking (look at how arty & deep I can be!), it's a pretty alright movie. I don't understand (Once again!) the near-iconic status this movie holds, but it's a fairly alright little diversion that I'm sure you can see once a week (at least) on TBS. 3.5 outta 5.
