Buffyverse Fic: Slipping Under [Spike/Xander] 1/1

Oct 24, 2006 01:58

This is a little something I actually wrote about a year and a half ago.  For those of you with really good memories, you might remember me asking a question about it here.  Basically, my dilemma was that I wrote a fic with character death in it and fully intended on that being all there was.  Unfortunately, my muse had other plans and an idea for ( Read more... )

pairing: spike/xander, buffyverse fic: one shots - spike/xander, buffyverse fic, buffyverse fic: one shots - all

Oh wow. I've just read both of these fictions. Oh, my, poor, poor Xander, to get to such a place that he felt he couldn't go on.

I liked both fics, but really prefer the second one, where Spike saves the day. I wonder why? LOL. Of course, that particular fic could always do with some more chapters, showing how Xander and Spike rile Angel totally and then save the day. And, of course, get together. Is this enough of a hint for you to continue this? Hmmm?

Hopefully, Cathy

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the fics. I figured the second one would be liked better, lol.

As for more chapters...a sequel did cross my mind earlier when I was editing this. I can't make any promises, though. I have a couple of other things I need to finish first, but it is a possibility. :-)

I definately second that sequel suggestion. Both fics were great. Both Andrew's reaction in the first and the new ending to the second were just wonderfully written. Of course, one left me with the need to cry and the other left me sorta giddy with the urge to cry 'more please'.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed both. I can't make any promises, but I'll definitely be keeping a sequel in mind for when I'm done with what I'm working on now. :-)

Nice... I usually avoid death fics like the plague (although in this 'dom that doesn't mean much, does it, lol) but these were great!

The strange thing? So do I. I hardly ever read death fics, but this is the second one now I've written. No idea why that is, lol.

Anyway, I'm glad you gave these a chance even though you normally avoid this kind of fic, and I'm glad you liked them. Thanks for the fb. :-)

I loved them both, the first one was heart-renching, I just wish he could've had more time and sympathy from his "friends".

The second one, with Spike saving the day, made my heart soar. I am with catsim, I would love to hear the banter with Spike and Xander ganging up on Angel! He wouldn't stand a chance.

aww, I liked it! both versions. I love that you didn't make it too...shippy in the second one, because that wouldn't have felt as real.

We've got another apocalypse to avert and Angel needs your military expertise since he either fired or killed all the blokes on his security team who had any kind of armed forces training. Mind, the ponce probably won't admit it to your face once we get there, but he did send me to get you, so keep that in mind when he starts strutting around wearing his superior attitude like a peacock wears its feathers."
that was great. I never would have thought there would be a believable reason why Angel would send for Xander, but with the way he went through that security team, that's pretty darn valid :) and you know that's exactly how he'd react to needing his help, too.

Thanks! I felt the same way about it. :-)

Glad you liked the reasoning for Angel sending for him, too. It took me a while to come up with a reason I thought was at least plausible, LOL.
