It's most likely just because he's older. You could try viagra, some vitamins (google for erectile vitamins and you'll find many), a cock ring is definitely good! The jelly ones usually work fine, and they're more comfortable for the guys than the other ones, though I'd probably suggest a silicone one if you want one you can reuse.
