Misadventures With BPD

I am recovering from Borderline Personality Disorder and about a year ago I read somewhere that BPD sufferers don't feel physical pain. Well, we do but not as strongly as people without BPD. I have BPD, and Bipolar II, and now that you mention it, my threshold for pain is significantly higher than those around me...I've never read that before though, it's a nice little tidbit to know. Thanks.

Wooo, bpd and bipolar party.

I definitely feel pain, but I know I react differently then others might. For instance I laughed while getting my tattoo which really, really hurt or when I stub my foot or something I just swear and then move on despite the pain.

I said below about having bpd but disagreeing about the pain coz I have so many chronic pain illnesses but yeh.. tattoos and piercings have never felt like anything unpleasant come to think of it.. I have a sleeve of tatoos which never flinched from. but I put that down to being in such high amounts of pain normally
