I do not understand how people could not make the distinction, though. But then, it could simply be that I have spent enough time killing people--actual people, with hopes and dreams and friends and families and sometimes even children--to know the difference.

But - you're mistaken if you think I consider it a mistake to fight them. I can't speak for anyone else, but I'd do the same if it was a normal person pulling a gun on someone else.

I don't excuse what the Reavers did, and I'm not going to question the choices people made when faced with them. I know that people died! I was out there in the middle of it, just like you.
The only thing I question is if we can truly call them inhuman without having proof. That's all.

I agree, intelligent humans are probably the biggest threat in the world. I'm not saying they shouldn't have killed whatever this threat was, but feeling guilty about it is a normal part of being human. Especially if they've never killed a human-like thing before.
