On March 31 Bruce Barclay, the Republican commissioner of Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, was accused of rape by William McCurdy, 20. He will not be added to the list of
gay Republican sex offenders for the rape charge because on April 10 the rape charges were dropped. The charges were dropped because during a search of Barclay's house, police found videotapes showing Barclay "having what appeared to be consensual sexual intercourse" not just with McCurdy but "
hundreds of sexual encounters with men that Barclay had filmed on high-tech surveillance cameras ... hidden inside AM/FM radios, motion detectors and intercom speaker systems" including "one at his business office." Barclay also "admitted to hiring prostitutes on a weekly basis from the now-defunct website harrisburgfratboys.com." Bruce Barclay will be added to the list of Gay Republican Sex Offenders because, as a result of the videotapes that exonerated him, he's now facing charges of privacy violation, promoting prostitution, making false reports to law enforcement authorities and unsworn falsifications to authorities.

Bruce Barclay did not rape 20-year old Marshall McCurdy. They had consensual sex, which he surreptitiously videotaped, along with "hundreds" of other homosexual encounters including prostitutes.
10/07Senate Rep. Richard Curtis R-Wa allegedly donned women’s clothing, red stockings and a black sequined lingerie top before engaging in a sex act at the store. He continued to wear them throughout the night under his clothing. According to the police report, Curtis allegedly offered to pay $1,000 to have unprotected sex with a 26-year-old waiter from the Spokane area who allegedly tried to blackmail Curtis for $1,000 and threatened to reveal his “gay lifestyle” to the lawmaker’s wife if he did not pay.
Curtis resigns. 10/07Donald Fleishman,

he was sucking cock to avoid getting hit by lightning.

Reminder of current policies: Governor Eliot Spitzer would have been the first Democrat on the list of Gay Democratic Sex Offenders but his prostitues weren't gay prostitutes. New Jersey former governor Jim McGreevy would have made the list but he "engaged in an adult consensual affair with another man" which is not actually a crime. And you have to actually get caught - simple suspicion doesn't count. Trent Lott might be a
gay republican sex offender but we don't know because his prostitute isn't talking. And Maryland Republican delegate Robert McKee
is a child pornographer which is a sex offense but not necessarily a gay sex offense so that doesn't count either.
We're averaging about 110 days between Republican gay sex offenders. If the current trend holds, without adjusting for seasonal variation the next republican gay sex offender ought to appear on 8/18/08.
