Oops. My standard practice is to post, then proofread the post on LJ and edit it to correct such mistakes. Looks like I already got this one.

Earlier today I was discussing with doug_runs whether it would hurt my chances of employment if a Pixar person discovered this writing.

I'd like to think that this post demonstrates both professional competency and an eagerness to contribute professionally, but I'm frequently not the most accurate predictor of human response.

I don't remember if you brought this up either, mostly because if you did you are in the company of so many other people who have brought this up to me that it's hard to remember individuals in a group that large. In any case, if you did I appreciate the attempt at being helpful and I don't hold it against you or anyone else.

Hardly a day goes by that someone doesn't suggest I apply to Google.

Yes, I have heard of this "Google," thanks.

I would like to take this opportunity to point out that I am no longer a soldier; instead I have a much more lucrative career now, the sort which enables you to sell your ipods to Nigerians.

I'm the enabler. I enable you to sell your iPods to Nigerians. I don't sell them myself.
