One of the reasons why I like LiveJournal is that it keeps me from repeating myself. Every few months someone asks me "hey, what did you think about the new Star Wars series" and I can say " I'd like to refer you to my written record". How was Japan? Written record. What's the deal about the Mohammed cartoons? Written record. Why do you keep referring me to your written record? Written record. I only have to form my opinion, collect the appropriate supplemental material, and get it out on paper once. You get the full thought-out explanation rather than some hastily written summary, and I save a ton of time down the road.
