You Misspell Just To Know Your Journal Is Being Read

Feb 12, 2005 12:55

Whoah, immortalamigone is really pissed about the public reaction to her new tattoo. Her journal is now friends-only, saying "please comment if you want me to add you". Unfortunately that entry only allows comments from friends, which leaves her unfriended readers in a bit of a catch-22.

this is what I tried to post )

best. post. ever., tattoo, apostrophe

Geez, dude. Apparently, she'll destroy you if she ever finds out who you are. You should be quaking in your digital boots. Your life as you know it is over.

Too bad that intentionally misspelling something makes you even more of a dumbass, huh?

fortunately, she's far too stupid to trace back all the comments to their posters and take note of whose name is on all their friendslists.

That line was bought and paid for! I have a receipt . . . *rummages through pockets* . . . somewhere . . .

*snerk* I find that highly amusing, especially due to her latest post. Here's what I tried to post:

The dumb fucks are wondering around? What are they wondering about?

You dumb fuck! She meant to type it exactly as it's written! They're "wondering around" meaning they are walking in circles while wondering why they can't understand her.

Jeezus, what is it with you're people?

Oh, geez, I'm sorry. My most humble and abject apologies (and since I'm never humble and seldom abject . . . ) for making such a mistake. I see now. It makes perfect sense. I wonder how I could have been so stupid?

Comment from a friend:

I picture this person in thirty years, constantly drunk, swinging wildly at any person who uses contractions of any sort.

One of Mez's first (if not the first... she's not here to verify) tattoos she did professionally on a guy was "FUCK YOO". She asked him if that's how he wanted it spelled. He said yes. She told him she was pretty sure it was Y-O-U, and he said she was wrong. She asked several times if he was sure he wanted Y-O-O, and that if he was upset later, she would not be held responsible. He said yes. She tattooed him ( ... )

Noted in case I change my career late in life:
1) Buy a dictionary. Keep it at work.
2) Try not to think too hard about what I do when I'm not doing it.
