I love the personal ramble. All I can say is: do it do it do it do it do it. DO. IT. And do it NOW. (no long plans, no sitting around waiting for the inspiration, just open Word and start typing today). I can relate to all of what you said, especially the part about chickening out and destroying the whole thing just when you gathered the courage to go ahead with it (it hasn't happened to me when sims-story is in question, but I've had that experience many time elsewhere

I'm really excited to read this! It's always great to see other people's approaches to the pre-made sims, and the fact that there isn't much about Veronaville and the Capps makes it even better! And don't worry about spamming my f-list, as I'm already enjoying your posts!
Thank you! I'm planning to share the story elsewhere, just I don't feel comfortable doing it everywhere at once. I mean, I'm in no hurry, and I don't feel too comfortable barging in and showing up everywhere two days after joining the community.
It does, but I'm not. My online nicknames have always been some kind of play on my real name (conicidently my RL name sounds like a male one too), but I've been cyber-stalked by some RL people more than once, and I've finally had to ditch the habit. Tom Wood is a random name of a character from a book I was reading (it was only half-way through the registration that I've realized it sounds like a bad porn name). I thought about explicitly saying I'm a girl, but I figured it'd come up on its own.
Well, I for one haven't played Veronaville properly in Yonks, and I still understood the basics, so maybe you're subtler than you thought. There's nothing wrong with starting in media res anyway. ;) I'll be looking for more updates. :)
