TFGirls needs new moderator(s)...

so... hideko_ikuta (leader of TFGirls) replied to me. she and all the other members no longer have the time to sub toma videos anymore. they also don't have time to approve new members. well, they closed membership back in 2013. but hideko_ikuta says that she is ok with letting me or someone i trust be the new moderator and approve new members.

I'd like to help out in any way I can, though I've never been a mod before. At least not for a sub community, for a forum a few years ago, and that one wasn't very busy. Is it really super time consuming? In any case, I'm about 80% in just because I'm a new Toma fan and know what it's like to join a fandom late.

i think there's not much you need to know. maybe look up what a moderator does at livejournal. but it's nice that you've been a mod at a forum before.

i have no idea. lol. i think it's not a huge time sucker after you get through the 275 people from all this time. i don't imagine there's tons of new people each day commenting to get accepted... but i don't know. i've never been a mod for a fansub community before. well, i do stuff at TFS sometimes but they have open membership.

I am busy doing my own projects so I would like to remain a member :)) But still eagerly waiting for the approval to join the community so that I can share my projects there ;)

well, i don't think they let members post there, though? lol. but it's nice that you want to share your projects there. but you're welcome to share your projects at toma's room anytime. just members-lock it if it's a video, though.

When do you need help? I can only help out after mid Dec. I'm a college student so after that time I'll have a lot of time to just go through request backlog since it'll be break. I'm actually waited to be accepted to the comm too. I took a hiatus from fandom before the TFGirls moved. I can make a year long commitment.

i think it's fine if you haven't been a moderator before. it's pretty easy to figure out how to do stuff. but i guess hideko_ikuta or i can send you all instructions just in case.
