What's next for me...

Wow... I've been bad about not posting here on any remotely regular basis, haven't I?

Sorry about that... I'll try to do better! :-)

Now that we've all survived the holidays, Wild Mercy is focusing on our next couple of conventions. First up, we'll be at Capricon next month, where we'll be joined by sweetmusic_27! I think all of us have Capricon Cafe sets, ( Read more... )

I'll see you at OVFF! I'm already busting my convention budget with 8 must-see cons, so Capricon is pretty much out this year.

Bummer about Cap, Peter! I understand the con-budget thing, though... I think MuseCon is the only thing on my schedule this year that isn't a Wild Mercy commitment.

I'll see you two weekends in October, though, 'cause we'll be at Conclave! You'll be there, right?

Cinclave is a half-hour commute from my house, so I'll be there. I often do concerts there, but I suspect they will draw some fine filkers from farther afield to fill their schedule.

I do intend to make it to MuseCon, and hope to do some astronomy and maybe a dulcimer workshop.

Ooh! Both of those are things I'd be interested in. Will you have any loaner dulcimers for the workshop, or should I try to find one to borrow beforehand?

I'll be at Capricon! We'll see when I'm on panels, and when I'm avai8lable for music things soon, I think. :-D

I'm bound and determined to get to at least one panel during Cap, 'cause I'll kick myself if I'm there all weekend and never see Scalzi. But other than that, I'll probably live in the Cafe, open filk and the concert space. Of course, that's normal for me and Cap, so this is nothing new. :-)

I don't remember how good the parties are at Cap but I know the filk is decent. Not like DucKon or OVFF, of course.

I'll be at ConFusion this weekend, and I guess I'll see what I see when I'm there. I'll be at Capricon. I'll also be performing (with the singing group I'm in, Court and Country; we sing Medieval and early Renaissance music) at Military History Fest, formerly known as Reenactor Fest, at the same hotel as Cap just one week later. Court and Country has two 45-minute sets, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. All the usual Reenactor Fest stuff, plus whatever the new corporate sponsor is adding.

I'll be at Kittencon, Penguicon, DucKon, Pennsic War (and thus not MuseCon), OVFF, Windycon, and will try to fit in DuhanCon depending on when it next incarnates. Court and Country is still working out gigs for the rest of the year.

I don't think I've ever made it to the parties at Cap. Certainly not for the last few years while I've been Roper's Filk Second... that pretty much ties me to a sound board all weekend. :-)

I wish I could go to ConFusion this year, but finances (and the need for Wild Mercy to have some rehearsal time!) require that I stay home. Sounds like Cap and OVFF may be the only cons where we overlap this year.

Cool about Court and Country... that sounds like fun!
