Thanks - I've always assumed there must have been some sense of real effort, of coming back from far away, for those whom Aragorn called back from the Black Breath...
Oooo - I like the juxtaposition of Faramir's dreams: Did the great wave come at last? and his metaphorical actions 'swimming against the tide', riffing on his perception of where he is: But now he’s sunk in deep, deep water, far down, crushed by weight and darkness. The themes come together very well.
Thank you! Originally I wasn't sure if I could work the "water" theme given that Faramir has just passed through fire; but it came together all right in the end.
