I loved the idea of dragons on Eomer's sword hilt.

The strength possessed by Éomer, in both character and his sword, is very present here. It's a vivid glimpse into that strength.

I love the idea of dragons on his sword hilt - it seems so right for a people based on the Anglo-Saxons. Because somehow I can imagine horses on most things, including shields, but perhaps not always on swords.

I love that opening line! And, as others have said, the idea of the dragons on the sword-hilt, which feel very Anglo-Saxon.
