I love these glimpses of "Frodo healed" in the West, especially since Bilbo can see it happen.

Yes, a comfort to him and to all. That Hobbits saw the Sea as symbolic of death while many cultures have seen rivers in that role has struck me as very interesting. As Hobbits almost never went anywhere near the Sea, that Frodo should find himself embraced by what lay beyond it and embracing it in return fascinates my imagination.
