That's a beautiful, beautiful thing you wrote.
*grabs you and holds you and hugs you tight*

Yes, we should always celebrate, and practice, and look for the kindness and compassion and love in ourselves and others. The world is better if we see it that way.

Happy day, my dearest, merry Christmas and may you enjoy many, many blessings in the new year.

I understand what you're saying. In some sense I'm sure it is nice to believe you're going to be "saved". But then again, in that belief, there creates undesired human traits- jealously( why aren't I save? What makes them special), favoritism( meek shall inherit the earth? Really? i think some people might have problems with that), judgement( yeah, we don't want to get started on all the people who are doomed to burn in hell for one little thing or another) and of course, those Christians who think their better than everyone else ( ... )

I agree, to an extent. I don't think, realistically, that humans will ever reach some Utopian ideal. But just because something won't work is no reason not try, I think. But it's good to be happy with the way things are. It's better than...you know, not being happy...profound enough? :p

I really like what you say here. Basically it boils down to 'if we had the faith of a child, we could do wonderful things for each other, in the belief that being good matters'. See? This is why we sent you to church, so that our lessons of be good to each other would get underscored. We figured that eventually you'd take what you needed and leave the rest behind, to paraphrase The Band.
