(03/11/12): Oh. My. Fuckin. GOD. *bursts into tears* I never thought the day would come when I’d be able to read the Mujihi na Otoko extras. Finally! Finally! September Scanlations, you guys have my eternal gratitude T.T *bawls for a good several minutes*
I had thought that Mujihi na Otoko couldn’t get any better, and now these extras come along and they’re absolutely brilliant and make the story even more awesome and I really really really love Mujihi na Otoko and Kuon and Nanao and… *rambles on*
I was hoping that Kuon had invited Nanao back to his place so they could have more sex, but a family dinner is even better. Ha ha ha, of course Hisa-nii would be a total lightweight XD I do wonder what that means for Kuon’s alcohol tolerance since Towa is a lightweight as well. Drunk!Kuon plz thx >.< I bet he would be very adorable~ Oh, I do miss seeing Nanao in his element- all smooth and charming and crazily attractive to both genders (and for some reason, I could really see his resemblance to Mikado). Poor Hisa-nii didn’t stand a chance XD Ha ha ha, Mikado’s such a snarky little brother, and it’s so funny how Nanao’s all smiling while telling Mikado to shut up~ Oh, and speaking of resemblance, we get both Nanao and Mikado’s chibi heads in the same panel! :D Not sure why, but you can really see the difference in their hair styles just from the chibis (I just couldn’t figure it out with their normal selves). And this is one of the few times where Nanao’s glasses are fully visible on his chibi face- usually he looks more like the Mikado one though with different hair.
Aww, Kuon snapped ^.^ My my, he really is quite the brother-complex brother~ But at least Nanao’s there to comfort him :) Though is Mikado really calling Kuon ‘Aikawa-kun’? Pfft! Way to endear yourself to your in-laws, Mikado (though he probably could care less) XD Uwah, Kuon and Nanao with their heads so close together; just goes to emphasize how they make such a great couple~ Ha ha ha, though Nanao’s right about Hisa-nii being bedridden if he were to hear about them. But because it’s Hisa-nii, I have this nasty feeling that he will find out about both MikadoxTowa and KuonxNanao at the same time. Bedridden indeed. Oh, and to rub it in, that will probably also be the same time when Queen Shirahane makes her move on him XD Ohhh, but Kuon’s expression at the bottom right makes me want to hug him >.< Ooh la, but here comes Nanao with his seductive touches to cheer him up :3 Though I have to say that this bit made me kind of sad since they’re hiding their relationship :(
On the other hand, since this is an extra, the crack-ish mood can’t possibly be gone for long. Can’t say that Nanao would actually make a great wife (Kuon is much more likely to do the cooking and cleaning), but for sure Nanao would be able to pass off as a great wife in public :) But please stay a man, Nanao, since we’re all fine this way. Bwa ha ha ha ha ha! But treating all the men Nanao comes in contact with as rivals? How’s that any different than what Kuon is doing now?! ROFL! Oh, Kuon is so hilarious XD *laughs for several minutes*
Since it was a bit late at night, it actually took me a few rereads to fully appreciate the humor of this last page. Looks like Nanao’s talking about Kuon being a literal someone-that-kills-other-guys type of man-killer (if I were the sempai, I would be leaving the country right about now :D The sensei is much more awesome and has already been duly warned, and the cousin is family and there’s not much Kuon can do about that), while Kuon is referring to Nanao being a guy-who-can-seduce-any-man type of man-killer XD Aww, Kuon, don’t call your beloved ‘weird’. And I originally thought that Towa had realized that Kuon and Nanao were actually lovers, but since Towa’s not that insightful all the time and he had thought there was going to be a fight, I figured that Towa was confirming his suspicions that Kuon and Nanao were enemies or something. Love Hisa as an adorable yet still panicking drunk, love Towa as the surprisingly only sane person in the room, love Mikado’s lazy and indifferent attitude, and looooove Nanao’s final words <3 Nanao’s blushing so hard ^.^
Yay, there’s a second extra! Oh boy, between Mikado’s absolutely deadpan congratulations and offering and Kuon’s totally priceless expression, it’s really hard to say which is more hilarious. I’m gonna have to go with Kuon. His face… XD Hi there, Nanao~ Though I actually associate the ‘Nfu’ sound with Mizuki Hajime (wearing an apron and carrying a broom) from Prince of Tennis, so that was pretty funny as well. Nfu nfu nfu~
Ha ha ha, and of course Kuon is more concerned about Nanao being Nanao rather than Nanao being a guy XD Gah, I absolutely love the Shirahane brothers’ relationship! *flails everywhere* They’re pretty darn awesome on their own, but when they’re together, they are absolutely freakin’ hilarious XD Aww, Mikado, Nanao really is talented in that respect, but surely he has some other skills as well? And, heh heh heh, MikadoxNanao is my guilty pleasure (that little scene in Warui ko Demo Ii? was much too short~). Boo to Kuon being such a spoilsport *pouts* Though I really can’t think of what Kuon would actually want to ask Nanao…
Ohhhhh, is that a look of concern I see on Mikado’s face as a result of Nanao’s slightly sad one? I sure like to think so :) And instead of ‘moderator’, I think it should be ‘matchmaker’ XD Mikado the Matchmaker has a nice ring to it, and besides, if anyone were to find out about Kuon and Nanao’s eventual relationship, it’d most likely be Mikado. Hee hee hee, it looks like Nanao is sticking his face closer and closer to Kuon’s with every question. Oh, but I can answer (or at least venture a guess) for those questions: May 5, pretty much the opposite of Nanao (someone who’s always elegant/graceful, obviously faithful, sensitive/caring/romantic, down-to-earth, maybe a sort of Yamato Nandeshiko, etc.), and usually hang out with his brothers mostly at home.
Aww, Mikado really cares about Nanao…in his own special way XD Well, looks like the ‘untidy’ bit rules out Nanao being an actual housewife. But oh my god, Nanao at home and watching TV is full of WIN. That was absolutely hilarious XD Ah, if only we could see more of Nanao (and the other Shirahane siblings) when he’s at home because that would be awesome. But what is this? A super masochistic pervert? Did anyone else immediately think of a certain Yakuza protagonist from a certain highly-rated series from a certain mangaka by the name of Yoneda Kou? Because those are the exact words that I would use (and I pretty sure something along those lines is used in canon) to describe Yashiro ^.^ Bwa ha ha ha! That is an excellent question, Nanao! XD (We never ever get to see Kuon show off any major skin unless he wears a low-necked shirt or such, so can’t we at least get a little hint?). I personally believe that Kuon is a briefs sort of guy since he’s very traditional (and because I just took a ‘boxers or briefs’ quiz while choosing answers that I think Kuon would pick, and the result was briefs) *nods*
*sighs happily* I couldn’t have asked for better extras to complement my favorite BL :)
More (03/11/12): I was rereading what I wrote for the first part, and I really can’t believe some of the stuff that’s there XD
First off, by now, I have not read Mujihi na Otoko at least five times- I’ve read it at least ten times, and it’s still the only manga that I’ve reread so often.
I still believe the image of Nanao at the very beginning of chapter four (where Kuon’s talking about his impression of Nanao during their sex scene) is one of the most beautiful picture I’ve ever seen of him. Of course, there are a ton of other instances where I believe he’s absolutely gorgeous (I wanna make a compilation someday~), but this ranks towards the top ^.^
I actually would like to expand more on my analysis of their characterizations and relationship (especially their relationship. I think it’d be interesting to factor in horoscopes and blood types and such), but I’m too lazy at the moment. Perhaps another day :)
I still would love for Hisa-nii to get with Queen Shirahane for the exact same reasons as before. But I’ll be fine with a threesome that includes Yuu as well :)
Random: And I’m still watching White Collar because Matt Bomer is now my ideal type for a guy (despite his being gay and taken, a wonderful albeit deadly combination for the female population~).
As far as translations go, I have gotten very fond of and used to Parallels Scanlations’ work, so I actually sincerely hope that September Scanlations will NOT go back and redo this volume. High quality scans and translations are great and all, but I have grown to love the original scanlations too much to want any changes period.
Even though I dearly love Mujihi na Otoko with all my heart and swear up and down on it, I still don’t believe that it’s one of those manga that you absolutely have to read before you die. Yes, it’s definitely one of the much better yaoi out there thanks to its characterizations and engaging plot, which makes it great for recommending, but yeah, not completely life-changing (unless you’re as obsessed as I am~).
While I still have a few complaints about the sex scene in chapter six and the drama CD (namely Nanao blushing and crying so much), I sort of regret being so nitpicky about it >.< I like that scene, I really do!
It took me a long time to realize that Kuon has earrings, and even longer to realize that Nanao has (had?) at least one piercing as well. They should get couple earrings *nods*
Ha ha ha, and looks like I was right in predicting that there was going to be jealous!Kuon and hurt/insecure!Nanao in the sequel XD
*sighs* Sometimes, I also regret that I didn’t get to do the whole page-by-page commentary (not just mostly page-by-page) while the chapters were still being released because I could’ve expanded so much more by putting forth guesses for future developments and such. Ah well.
I am pretty surprised that I noticed the Random Male Character who shows up more than once (still not sure if he was the one half-heartedly hitting on Nanao in chapter three, but definitely fairly certain that it’s him asking for a seat in chapter one and then asking for a drinking party in chapter three). Guess that’s what happens when you reread something so many times :)
As for the scene where Kuon walks past Nanao after the phone call to Towa, not only does it show up as a flashback in chapter six, but I’m pretty sure it also shows up as a flashback in chapter three of Mujihi na Anata *nods*
Maybe because it’s not the main focus, but the inside of the Shirahane residence seems a lot smaller than it does in the MikadoxTowa stories *shrugs*
And I still am convinced that Nanao is left-handed :) Though come to think of it, it doesn’t really seem like it in Mujihi na Anata…
I’d like for Kuon’s friends to show up again in Mujihi na Anata. Mostly, I’d love for the sensei to show up again since I’m very fond of him, but the friends will do as well.
And the part where Kuon does not deny being the type of guy who would kill his cheating lover and then himself is still my favorite scene in the Warui series ^.^
Having read some of Mujihi na Anata, I’m thinking that Nanao and the sensei’s conversation in chapter two probably refers to Nanao’s promiscuous past and also the whole drama with the sempai (stupid sempai :P) rather than Nanao and the sensei’s one night stand. This would make a lot more sense as to why Nanao is so serious (here and at the end of chapter three/beginning of chapter four).
“Ordinary people like you, who will always preach, will not have any dreams to speak of.” Still my favorite WTF line ^.^
Still love Nanao in the sweater/dress shirt outfit the best~
And I still want even more MikadoxNanao, whether it is genuine concern, hilariously snippety exchanges, or something pseudo-romantic.
This and Tadayoedo are still the only yaoi I can immediately think of that have great scenes of ukes masturbating *smiles wryly*

And I was also surprised that I seriously considered how close Kuon lives to the university with respect to the time frame. Same with the overall timeline of Kuon and Nanao’s story. It’s not awesome like this Tumblr post mapping out the timeline for Sekaiichi Hatsukoi to the exact dates and including discrepancies, but whatever.
Oooh, and I really must issue an apology here. I’m so sorry , Towa! You’re still my least favorite character, and you and Mikado are still my least favorite couple, but I’ve grown fond of you and definitely do not hate you now T.T Guh, I feel so bad for dissing Towa and MikadoxTowa OTL
Because it was revealed that Nanao reads manga in Warui Yatsu Demo Ii, I had briefly considered that Nanao was talking about being in the anime club in Mujihi na Anata. Problem is that I have no idea if Japanese schools have an anime club, and it’s not something that I can see the sempai, much less Nanao, seriously participating in *shrugs*
That’s all I think I wanted to say. Perhaps one day I’ll come back and add some more thoughts, but this is it for now. And for some final parting words: GAHHHHH I LOVE MUJIHI NA OTOKO SO MUCH <3 <3 <3 See ya~ ^.^

The question is which one… In my imagination, Kimiko and Mikado resemble their surprisingly doting father while Nanao resembles their mother. Just ‘cause. But what is this?! She’s Queen Shirahane- she can and will do whatever pleases her :3 Kinda funny how Towa’s slightly blushing due to the similarity of her face to Mikado’s, but Yuu’s face… *laughs* Oh man, that’s one jealous lover look of doom right there XD I didn’t notice the first time I read it because I was more amused by the fact that since Kimiko’s giving her regards to the Aikawas and Yuu is sitting there, he’s therefore like an honorary Aikawa or something. But now that I take a closer look… XD
BWA HA HA HA XD Way to make a good first impression, Hisa-nii! Forgetting her name right away and then calling her the wrong name *shakes head* Only him XD I seriously could not stop laughing when he called her Kunshi-sama with a dead serious expression. At least he got the ‘-sama’ part right XD That was hands down one of my favorite scenes in this extra. Awww, look at Nanao’s adorable chibi face <3 Ha ha ha, of course she knows that Nanao has a thing for Kuon, and yes, Hisa-nii is definitely a harass-able person.
Aneki? Hmmm, doesn’t Mikado call her ‘Neesan’? Actually, I don’t know what the difference is between those two. I’m under the impression that one (maybe neesan) is more affectionate than the other (maybe aneki), but I have no idea. Ha ha ha, look at Yuu being all jealous and possessive over his ‘right’ XD But I do believe that he is actually one of the very few (like you can count them on your hand and have several fingers to spare) who could stand up to Kimiko, so this should prove to be an interesting relationship.
LOL, and it’s adorable the way Yuu-kun thinks it’s adorable how Hisa and Towa were wailing. It’s the cute/smiley ones that you have to look out for XD But awww, Yuu and Towa as toddlers were so cute~

That’ll all change by the end of your sequel *nods* Oh, but I really love how these pages actually have use a lot of black ink to go with the mood. They’re probably trying to not waste ink, but I definitely prefer this over the sketchiness of MnA
Welcome home, Kuon! Isn’t that such a very nice present waiting for you? ^.^ Though I’m not sure how that happened. Did Kimiko-san tire of harassing Hisa for today and decide to go home first? And then maybe Nanao stayed and waited for Kuon in his room? Or maybe she’s still there and is continuing the courting ritual with Hisa and Yuu. Because she and Nanao probably went to the Aikawa’s place using one car, so it doesn’t really make sense for her to just ditch Nanao and let him find his own way back (though I wouldn’t put it past her to do so). Besides, seeing as Nanao makes such a good chauffeur for Mikado, he was probably the one who drove them there. So perhaps they stayed for dinner.
Oh, but it’s so cute how Nanao is clinging onto to Kuon’s pillow like a teddy bear! Such a shame, Kuon- if you’d come home earlier, that could’ve been you in Nanao’s arms. And that’s the same jacket that Kuon wears in MnA, right? It has a fur collar.

I completely forgot (did not know?) that Yuu’s family name is Kashiwagi, so when I saw the nameplate, I was like “Reiichi?! Where?! And is Okuno with him?!” XD Oh, hello, Yuu’s brother :D I think it’s nice that pretty much all the main characters have siblings. More fun times all around XD Judging from what he says and the way he looks, I say that he’s probably a college student who may or may not be the one sitting behind Kuon in MnA ch5. I mean, if Mikado and Towa and Yuu go to the same high school, and Kuon and Nanao go to the same college, it would make sense that Yuu’s brother goes to that college too since there doesn’t seem to be any other schools in the area (though I am curious as to which high school Nanao went to where they had blazers instead of gakurans for the uniform). This guy seems like a very good brother with the leering and asking about Yuu’s love life and what not ^.^
Ha ha ha, good luck, Yuu. I highly doubt he’ll win the war, but at least he’ll probably be able to win a couple of battles :) Ah, there’s Mikado! It would’ve been interesting if all the Aikawas and Shirahanes were able to get together, but this is fine too since I absolutely adore Mikado and Yuki’s friendship.
Ooh, and a look at all the ukes wearing nothing but a button-down shirt :D Though I must admit it looks a bit awkward since Nanao’s older than both Yuki and Towa, and Nanao and Yuki don’t even know of the other’s existence. From the chapter title, I thought that we would be able to see all of the Shirahanes at their own home, but this is perfectly fine as well! The year and a half or so was definitely worth the wait because I LOVE this ^.^ Shall work on the MnA ch5 commentary next, and hopefully this won’t be the last time I post over here in the MnO section!
More (08/18/12): Ha! I got it! While looking for images of Nanao wearing a necklace, I realized that he and Kuon are wearing the exact same clothes in Warui Koibito ja Dame ch4.5 and the Warui Koto Shitai drama cd bonus booklet. So it would appear that after Kuon restrained himself from jumping a sleeping Nanao, he ended up falling asleep without changing or anything, and that's the situation to which Nanao awoke two hours later. Mystery solved! \O/

Way to endear yourself to your in-laws, Mikado (though he probably could care less) XD Uwah, Kuon and Nanao with their heads so close together; just goes to emphasize how they make such a great couple~ Ha ha ha, though Nanao’s right about Hisa-nii being bedridden if he were to hear about them. But because it’s Hisa-nii, I have this nasty feeling that he will find out about both MikadoxTowa and KuonxNanao at the same time. Bedridden indeed. Oh, and to rub it in, that will probably also be the same time when Queen Shirahane makes her move on him XD Ohhh, but Kuon’s expression at the bottom right makes me want to hug him >.< Ooh la, but here comes Nanao with his seductive touches to cheer him up :3 Though I have to say that this bit made me kind of sad since they’re hiding their relationship :(
On the other hand, since this is an extra, the crack-ish mood can’t possibly be gone for long. Can’t say that Nanao would actually make a great wife (Kuon is much more likely to do the cooking and cleaning), but for sure Nanao would be able to pass off as a great wife in public :) But please stay a man, Nanao, since we’re all fine this way. Bwa ha ha ha ha ha! But treating all the men Nanao comes in contact with as rivals? How’s that any different than what Kuon is doing now?! ROFL! Since it was a bit late at night, it actually took me a few rereads to fully appreciate the humor of this last page. Looks like Nanao’s talking about Kuon being a literal someone-that-kills-other-guys type of man-killer (if I were the sempai, I would be leaving the country right about now :D The sensei is much more awesome and has already been duly warned, and the cousin is family and there’s not much Kuon can do about that), while Kuon is referring to Nanao being a guy-who-can-seduce-any-man type of man-killer XD Aww, Kuon, don’t call your beloved ‘weird’. And I originally thought that Towa had realized that Kuon and Nanao were actually lovers, but since Towa’s not that insightful all the time and he had thought there was going to be a fight, I figured that Towa was confirming his suspicions that Kuon and Nanao were enemies or something. Love Hisa as an adorable yet still panicking drunk, love Towa as the surprisingly only sane person in the room, love Mikado’s lazy and indifferent attitude, and looooove Nanao’s final words <3 Nanao’s blushing so hard ^.^
Yay, there’s a second extra! Oh boy, between Mikado’s absolutely deadpan congratulations and offering and Kuon’s totally priceless expression, it’s really hard to say which is more hilarious. I’m gonna have to go with Kuon. His face… XD Hi there, Nanao~ Though I actually associate the ‘Nfu’ sound with Mizuki Hajime (wearing an apron and carrying a broom) from Prince of Tennis, so that was pretty funny as well. Nfu nfu nfu~
Ha ha ha, and of course Kuon is more concerned about Nanao being Nanao rather than Nanao being a guy XD Gah, I absolutely love the Shirahane brothers’ relationship! *flails everywhere* They’re pretty darn awesome on their own, but when they’re together, they are absolutely freakin’ hilarious XD Aww, Mikado, Nanao really is talented in that respect, but surely he has some other skills as well? And, heh heh heh, MikadoxNanao is my guilty pleasure (that little scene in Warui ko Demo Ii? was much too short~). Ohhhhh, is that a look of concern I see on Mikado’s face as a result of Nanao’s slightly sad one? I sure like to think so :) And instead of ‘moderator’, I think it should be ‘matchmaker’ XD Mikado the Matchmaker has a nice ring to it, and besides, if anyone were to find out about Kuon and Nanao’s eventual relationship, it’d most likely be Mikado. Hee hee hee, it looks like Nanao is sticking his face closer and closer to Kuon’s with every question. Oh, but I can answer (or at least venture a guess) for those questions: May 5, pretty much the opposite of Nanao (someone who’s always elegant/graceful, obviously faithful, sensitive/caring/romantic, down-to-earth, maybe a sort of Yamato Nandeshiko, etc.), and usually hang out with his brothers mostly at home.
Aww, Mikado really cares about Nanao…in his own special way XD Well, looks like the ‘untidy’ bit rules out Nanao being an actual housewife. But oh my god, Nanao at home and watching TV is full of WIN. That was absolutely hilarious XD Ah, if only we could see more of Nanao (and the other Shirahane siblings) when he’s at home because that would be awesome. But what is this? A super masochistic pervert? Did anyone else immediately think of a certain Yakuza protagonist from a certain highly-rated series from a certain mangaka by the name of Yoneda Kou? Because those are the exact words that I would use (and I pretty sure something along those lines is used in canon) to describe Yashiro ^.^ Bwa ha ha ha! That is an excellent question, Nanao! XD (We never ever get to see Kuon show off any major skin unless he wears a low-necked shirt or such, so can’t we at least get a little hint?). I personally believe that Kuon is a briefs sort of guy since he’s very traditional (and because I just took a ‘boxers or briefs’ quiz while choosing answers that I think Kuon would pick, and the result was briefs) *nods*

More (03/11/12): I was rereading what I wrote for the first part, and I really can’t believe some of the stuff that’s there XD
First off, by now, I have not read Mujihi na Otoko at least five times- I’ve read it at least ten times, and it’s still the only manga that I’ve reread so often.
I still believe the image of Nanao at the very beginning of chapter four (where Kuon’s talking about his impression of Nanao during their sex scene) is one of the most beautiful picture I’ve ever seen of him. Of course, there are a ton of other instances where I believe he’s absolutely gorgeous (I wanna make a compilation someday~), but this ranks towards the top ^.^
I actually would like to expand more on my analysis of their characterizations and relationship (especially their relationship. I think it’d be interesting to factor in horoscopes and blood types and such), but I’m too lazy at the moment. Perhaps another day :)
I still would love for Hisa-nii to get with Queen Shirahane for the exact same reasons as before. But I’ll be fine with a threesome that includes Yuu as well :)
Random: And I’m still watching White Collar because Matt Bomer is now my ideal type for a guy (despite his being gay and taken, a wonderful albeit deadly combination for the female population~).
As far as translations go, I have gotten very fond of and used to Parallels Scanlations’ work, so I actually sincerely hope that September Scanlations will NOT go back and redo this volume. High quality scans and translations are great and all, but I have grown to love the original scanlations too much to want any changes period.
Even though I dearly love Mujihi na Otoko with all my heart and swear up and down on it, I still don’t believe that it’s one of those manga that you absolutely have to read before you die. Yes, it’s definitely one of the much better yaoi out there thanks to its characterizations and engaging plot, which makes it great for recommending, but yeah, not completely life-changing (unless you’re as obsessed as I am~).
While I still have a few complaints about the sex scene in chapter six and the drama CD (namely Nanao blushing and crying so much), I sort of regret being so nitpicky about it >.< I like that scene, I really do!
It took me a long time to realize that Kuon has earrings, and even longer to realize that Nanao has (had?) at least one piercing as well. They should get couple earrings *nods*
Ha ha ha, and looks like I was right in predicting that there was going to be jealous!Kuon and hurt/insecure!Nanao in the sequel XD
*sighs* Sometimes, I also regret that I didn’t get to do the whole page-by-page commentary (not just mostly page-by-page) while the chapters were still being released because I could’ve expanded so much more by putting forth guesses for future developments and such. Ah well.
I am pretty surprised that I noticed the Random Male Character who shows up more than once (still not sure if he was the one half-heartedly hitting on Nanao in chapter three, but definitely fairly certain that it’s him asking for a seat in chapter one and then asking for a drinking party in chapter three). Guess that’s what happens when you reread something so many times :)
As for the scene where Kuon walks past Nanao after the phone call to Towa, not only does it show up as a flashback in chapter six, but I’m pretty sure it also shows up as a flashback in chapter three of Mujihi na Anata *nods*
Maybe because it’s not the main focus, but the inside of the Shirahane residence seems a lot smaller than it does in the MikadoxTowa stories *shrugs*
And I still am convinced that Nanao is left-handed :) Though come to think of it, it doesn’t really seem like it in Mujihi na Anata…
I’d like for Kuon’s friends to show up again in Mujihi na Anata. Mostly, I’d love for the sensei to show up again since I’m very fond of him, but the friends will do as well.
And the part where Kuon does not deny being the type of guy who would kill his cheating lover and then himself is still my favorite scene in the Warui series ^.^
Having read some of Mujihi na Anata, I’m thinking that Nanao and the sensei’s conversation in chapter two probably refers to Nanao’s promiscuous past and also the whole drama with the sempai (stupid sempai :P) rather than Nanao and the sensei’s one night stand. This would make a lot more sense as to why Nanao is so serious (here and at the end of chapter three/beginning of chapter four).

And I was also surprised that I seriously considered how close Kuon lives to the university with respect to the time frame. Same with the overall timeline of Kuon and Nanao’s story. It’s not awesome like this Tumblr post mapping out the timeline for Sekaiichi Hatsukoi to the exact dates and including discrepancies, but whatever.
Oooh, and I really must issue an apology here. I’m so sorry , Towa! You’re still my least favorite character, and you and Mikado are still my least favorite couple, but I’ve grown fond of you and definitely do not hate you now T.T Guh, I feel so bad for dissing Towa and MikadoxTowa OTL
Because it was revealed that Nanao reads manga in Warui Yatsu Demo Ii, I had briefly considered that Nanao was talking about being in the anime club in Mujihi na Anata. Problem is that I have no idea if Japanese schools have an anime club, and it’s not something that I can see the sempai, much less Nanao, seriously participating in *shrugs*

She’s Queen Shirahane- she can and will do whatever pleases her :3 Kinda funny how Towa’s slightly blushing due to the similarity of her face to Mikado’s, but Yuu’s face… *laughs* Oh man, that’s one jealous lover look of doom right there XD I didn’t notice the first time I read it because I was more amused by the fact that since Kimiko’s giving her regards to the Aikawas and Yuu is sitting there, he’s therefore like an honorary Aikawa or something. But now that I take a closer look… XD
BWA HA HA HA XD Way to make a good first impression, Hisa-nii! Forgetting her name right away and then calling her the wrong name *shakes head* Only him XD I seriously could not stop laughing when he called her Kunshi-sama with a dead serious expression. At least he got the ‘-sama’ part right XD That was hands down one of my favorite scenes in this extra. Awww, look at Nanao’s adorable chibi face <3 Ha ha ha, of course she knows that Nanao has a thing for Kuon, and yes, Hisa-nii is definitely a harass-able person.
Aneki? Hmmm, doesn’t Mikado call her ‘Neesan’? Actually, I don’t know what the difference is between those two. I’m under the impression that one (maybe neesan) is more affectionate than the other (maybe aneki), but I have no idea. Ha ha ha, look at Yuu being all jealous and possessive over his ‘right’ XD But I do believe that he is actually one of the very few (like you can count them on your hand and have several fingers to spare) who could stand up to Kimiko, so this should prove to be an interesting relationship.
LOL, and it’s adorable the way Yuu-kun thinks it’s adorable how Hisa and Towa were wailing. It’s the cute/smiley ones that you have to look out for XD But awww, Yuu and Towa as toddlers were so cute~

Welcome home, Kuon! Isn’t that such a very nice present waiting for you? ^.^ Though I’m not sure how that happened. Did Kimiko-san tire of harassing Hisa for today and decide to go home first? And then maybe Nanao stayed and waited for Kuon in his room? Or maybe she’s still there and is continuing the courting ritual with Hisa and Yuu. Because she and Nanao probably went to the Aikawa’s place using one car, so it doesn’t really make sense for her to just ditch Nanao and let him find his own way back (though I wouldn’t put it past her to do so). Besides, seeing as Nanao makes such a good chauffeur for Mikado, he was probably the one who drove them there. So perhaps they stayed for dinner.

More fun times all around XD Judging from what he says and the way he looks, I say that he’s probably a college student who may or may not be the one sitting behind Kuon in MnA ch5. I mean, if Mikado and Towa and Yuu go to the same high school, and Kuon and Nanao go to the same college, it would make sense that Yuu’s brother goes to that college too since there doesn’t seem to be any other schools in the area (though I am curious as to which high school Nanao went to where they had blazers instead of gakurans for the uniform). This guy seems like a very good brother with the leering and asking about Yuu’s love life and what not ^.^
Ha ha ha, good luck, Yuu. I highly doubt he’ll win the war, but at least he’ll probably be able to win a couple of battles :) Ah, there’s Mikado! It would’ve been interesting if all the Aikawas and Shirahanes were able to get together, but this is fine too since I absolutely adore Mikado and Yuki’s friendship.
Ooh, and a look at all the ukes wearing nothing but a button-down shirt :D Though I must admit it looks a bit awkward since Nanao’s older than both Yuki and Towa, and Nanao and Yuki don’t even know of the other’s existence. From the chapter title, I thought that we would be able to see all of the Shirahanes at their own home, but this is perfectly fine as well! The year and a half or so was definitely worth the wait because I LOVE this ^.^ Shall work on the MnA ch5 commentary next, and hopefully this won’t be the last time I post over here in the MnO section!
More (08/18/12): Ha! I got it! While looking for images of Nanao wearing a necklace, I realized that he and Kuon are wearing the exact same clothes in Warui Koibito ja Dame ch4.5 and the Warui Koto Shitai drama cd bonus booklet. So it would appear that after Kuon restrained himself from jumping a sleeping Nanao, he ended up falling asleep without changing or anything, and that's the situation to which Nanao awoke two hours later. Mystery solved! \O/
