Today is a beautiful summer day.

The sun is shining, it's about 80 degrees out, and I'm sitting in my apartment taking notes on Gender Trouble.

In other news, I can now recognize the gender theory section of our school library by smell.

I threw that book across the room several times when I had to read it for grad school. Dan and I took to calling my study the Avery Research Center for Bad Book Ballistics. It was Derrida's The Gift of Death, though, that left a permanent dent in the wall.
