[ Annnnd here's a familiar voice acting like nothing has changed. There's red eyes and white hair observing the video. :3 Hi. ]
... Perhaps I was wrong to at first assume I was the only one with that sort of ability here.
[ As it were, those unnaturally red eyes--and the matching red ball of light--are on you, Cheria. Entertain him. ] Personally, I can cast any spell that is previously learned. However, it's quite difficult to do anything of the sort when one feels as tired as this, don't you think...?
[We meet again, Sir Pessimist. We meet again. It's clear from her expression she's not too happy to speak with him again, but by now she's dimmed down somewhat, so she'll keep up her polite manner. Naoya'd better watch his step, though.]
That's right. In order to use magic, I need to concentrate. Such a thing is hard to do when casting seems to drain me even further.
Is healing magic rare in your world as well, then?
[ Well... he never claimed to be an optimist. Call him a REALIST. ]
Yes, it does seem to have a negative effect on the human body's natural soul resilience... I can already observe the variables involved, but restoration rates aren't returning as they should, even though I have the ability to cut cast and effort in half automatically.
[ He seems to be thinking. ] The only anomaly I've come across that might help this is... that coral, the Lamufao. It gives off an odd energy burst. It's... possible it may be poisoned, or a hallucinogenic plant.
[ All that likely went over your head, but it made sense to him. ] Ah, it's quite rare. I had to invent a medium that would allow me to summon demons as well as harness every possible spell and skill they knew. Unfortunately, I cannot connect to my server, so I cannot test to see if the summon program is working.
[Most of that did go over her head, actually. All she gathered is that the Lamufao might help her get more energy for her magic, but it could just as well be dangerous to attempt that. She doesn't know what a "server" is, either. There's one thing in particular that definitely stood out to her, though.]
[Definitely confusion for him now. He's still having trouble wrapping his head around different worlds and usually thinks they're still on Gaia--the idea of different universes with completely different ways of working is pretty alien at this point.] You said you had healing magic. ...Isn't that only possible with materia?
[...He doesn't like sounding so uncertain on that last point, but alas, he's an average student, not a star pupil, and Shinra only spends so much budget for training.]
[Similarly, Cheria is having a hard time picturing a world that can function without arles. Though, now that she thinks about it, she hasn't heard anyone else mention it.]
... I've never heard of such a thing. My magic functions with arles.

[Honestly, though, Billy's still rather "What?" about this. Magic doesn't exist. :|]
