Bangkok Trip Day 2

Jun 04, 2013 14:37

This morning we went to Ancient City which we got to by train to the last station and then a taxi ride the rest of the way. It's essentially this huge park where they had scaled-down versions of cultural landmarks and monuments. Best part about it - bikes!

Your pictures are so beautiful! Look at that rainbow bridge!
I agree with you, performances depicting history would make studying so much easier. It's an awesome idea.
I'm glad you managed to get nice seats anyway! :)

Yeah, I was like 'rainbow bridge!!! :D!!! so cool!!'
Like, things I remember from history are mostly from the stories i hear/see rather than the facts i learn.

Nice photos.. The scenery for ancient city looks amazing. I like kinokuniya too. Never thought they would have one in Thailand. I wished I could go there and see their japanese craft and music books. Lucky u got upgraded to golden seats. Yeah I also think that history is best taught outside the classroom. With books and readings only people would get bored of the material and don't absorb much all. I dreaded history at school. Thinking back the material wasn't too boring but the way they taught it made it boring.

Thanks! Gosh, I wish there were places like that where I live. I was glad they had kinokuniya there :3
Yeah, it's all about making people enjoy what they're learning.

i try not too spend too long at bookstores when i'm out with people because yeah, i could easily spend hours in one just looking through every shelf. but still, a lot of times they end up waiting outside anyway oops ;P

i am so planning on looking at some today!!!

Thanks. It's an interesting place, lots of culture.
