Because it doesn't fit the song, of course.

Besides, it's a duet with a woman I know. It has to fit her voice as well. An idol has to compromise...

Haha, sorry. I'm only good for pointin' out th' obvious. I don't know much about music other than what I've read.

Can't even go a little bit lower?

Seiya! You shouldn't push your voice so much. You could damage it.

I'll make green tea, you must be thirsty.

Huh. I don't know anything about what makes a good love song, so I can't help you.

I'm not pushing my voice, I'm training it. It's different, yeah?

And don't worry, Youko-chan, I'm an idol. I'm used to these kind of things.

Then take a break, dude. It'd be a shame if you lost your voice completely before managing t' hit it.

[ ooc; sure, have a good night! :3 ]

Hearing the sounds of an unfinished and... somewhat discordant melody, Michiru quietly pokes her head into the studio room. She slips in as she watches Seiya address his Netowrk 'audience', and smiles a little when he mentions her.

She waited politely until he had switched off the mic before singing softly.

"I will always be by your side;
I will protect you~"

Looking up, surprised at hearing the tunes of his own song - this time the high note hit just perfectly - Seiya turns around and eyes Michiru in the doorway.

"Michiru-san," he exclaims, a smirk showing on his lips, "I should have known you would be able to do that better than me, huh?"

Walking over to the couch in the middle of the room, he retrieves his guitar and pads the seat next to him with his hand to indicate he wants her to sit down.

"Join me, yeah?"

A soft smirk lit her face in response to Seiya's comment. At his invitation, she hesitated a moment. These days she was less outwardly sad, but shadows of it still lingered in her behavior and in the slight dimness of her eyes. She just wasn't quite the same still.

But she joined him on the couch. Playing with music was something she felt she needed now. "High notes need a slightly softer touch than most, ne?"

Raising an eyebrow at Michiru at her comment, Seiya smirked, closing his eyes and shrugging.

"I don't know about that, Michiru-san," he opened his eyes and looked at her, playing the first few notes of the melody on his guitar again, "I'm not the type who does soft well, yeah?"

Pursing his lips as he sang the few lines he'd actually got written until now, he allowed her the silence to herself before looking back up at her, cocking his head.

"You don't write lyrics, do you?"

It was meant as a challenge, but he couldn't help the slightly hopeful grin that took over his face.
