I like it! It's a cool idea and well executed!

How is Ableton? I've been using Traktor for mixing, but I've heard Ableton is good for synthesis as well as mixing.

Ableton is great because it blurs the line between DJing and production in the sense that it allows samples, full songs, and your own MIDI instruments and things to all coexist in the same environment. I'd definitely recommend checking it out, it's a bit daunting but if you just throw yourself into it and use the tutorials built into it you can start to do some cool things :D
