Before the second movie I sent a whole bunch of hobbit porn to all my guy friends so through the entire movie my guy friends kept going, "Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow."

Sam and Frodo, HOLY JESUS FRICKING CHRIST MAN. I just, guh, the acting! The eyes! The crying! The sheer helplessness! Oh my god, the beautiful, beautiful angst. The way those freakishly big eyes that can convey such broken innocence! Shelob! The money shot! The dirt and grime! ::DIES::

And you are totally right, the Singing!Pippen scene had every chance to be horribly tacky and weird but they pulled it off so goddamn well, contrasting it with Denethore eating/gorging to cover up his insecurities and the men riding into battle.

Totally. How the song was so delicate and pretty, juxtaposed with the shots of battle- i love shit like that. It made it all so sad. And, well... Pippin! Those damn hobbits depress the hell outta me.

i saw it last night and i had to sit in the front and when they are climbing the staircase the camera does this crazy twisting thing (concsidering you know, it IS the winding staircase), and i got dizzy!!!!!!!!

but other than that!! it kicked MUCH ass!!! legolas!! pretty! elf! gorgeous-ness!!!
and the costumes! i want to wear somethinig like that.. in real life. really. seriously, i totally would, if i could. hahahaha.. . .
