I didn't expect to care much about that episode of The Office, mostly because it's this show I watch entirely out of habit now, and don't care if I happen to miss an episode (and it's been that way, sadly, for quite a long time now), but still, seeing Michael leave definitely hit me somewhere emotional too. I thought Pam's goodbye was the best, too. I loved the image of them hugging goodbye, without any sound, with her shoes in her hand. Somehow that was perfect. Oh, show. I miss you.

Anyway basically if they don't make out soon i'm going to die.Haha oh GOD this. (Also, can we talk about how Adam Scott's penchant for delivering hundreds of different emphatic "NO"s is one of the greatest things ever? I cannot even explain this, but please tell me you understand ( ... )

It sucks so hard that The Office dwindled off into weird, non-emotionally-relevant blah land when it started off as such a fantastic and -- dare i say it -- NUANCED comedy, but there were parts of the Michael goodbye that sort of recaptured that, if only briefly. Honestly when i think about the evolution of The Office my biggest fear is that the same will happen with Parks & Rec. D: Because it happens with EVERY SHOW. But especially comedies. They just get old and lose their spark and their sense of story and character and ugghhhh so often i wish American tv would just let shows die before they start sucking. :(

I DO UNDERSTAND. I love the way he saaaays thiiiiiiings.

That, or maybe stumbling over to Dave's house drunk and insisting on how awesome she was just kind of... busted open all future doors for her, haha, I do not know. ( ... )

Yeah, I totally understand what you mean. It's just like, man, what happened to Jim and Pam? Why are they pod people now? When did Andy become the most entertaining person in the office? (That's not exactly a complaint, per se, I just... never would've seen that coming, apart from the fact that Ed Helms is great.) Why is Will Ferrell here? HE DOESN'T EVEN GO HERE. Sigh. But yeah, something about how they sent Michael off, even though it was incredibly meta most of the time, just rang right. Maybe it's just because Steve Carell is still so great, I dunno. It was like GREAT 12 EPISODES TO GET TO A POINT WHERE YOU CAN SIT NEXT TO EACH OTHER ON A BENCH.

LOLLLLLL I thought it was cute, but you've got a point. And okay, okay, okay, given that we were cheated out of Jim/Pam sneaking around making out in closets, I DEMAND THAT WE GET LESLIE/BEN SNEAKING AROUND MAKING OUT IN CLOSETS. It's only fair to make up for the failings of the past. FANDOM NEVER FORGETS, FANDOM NEVER FORGIVES

GOING

ON

WHAT

WHAAAAAAAAAAT
I DON'T KNOW TOASTY I DON'T KNOW.

IT'S THE FUTURE AND IT'S OUR UNIVERSE AND IT'S STILL GONE TO SHIT AND WHAT?????????????????????????
I LOVE ME SOME DYSTOPIAN FUTURES. BUT SOME PEOPLE THINK IT'S A THIRD UNIVERSE??

(IF THIS IS WHAT THE YELLOWVERSE IS: UNACCEPTABLE)
WAIT WHICH ONE IS YELLOWVERSE? THE HYPOTHETICAL THIRD UNIVERSE? I THOUGHT WE WERE ROOTING FOR PURPLEVERSE.

I often wish those superpowers were more overt and badass (like, you know... X-Men) but at the same time i really appreciate that the Cortexiphan powers have never, ever been a blessing or some sort of magic wand to do whatever the hell you want and make life easier wheeeeee.
I AGREE ON BOTH COUNTS.

I haven't truly cared about this show in a long time, although i do still find it amusing (unlike 30 Rock, which is mostly just painful now).
Yeah, I'm really considering giving up 30 Rock since I plan on picking up Community and probably Parks and Rec. I do still enjoy The Office, though; I still like spending time with ( ... )

HEHEHEHEHEHE YOU CALLED ME TOASTY. I LIKE THAT, COW!

WAIT WHICH ONE IS YELLOWVERSE? THE HYPOTHETICAL THIRD UNIVERSE? I THOUGHT WE WERE ROOTING FOR PURPLEVERSE.

Yeah Yellowverse is the hypothetical third (SEEEEEE?) although Purpleverse makes sense. I just don't necessarily want the two universes to be combined, THAT MAKES THINGS WEIRD. This ain't no Lost sideways world.

Ooooooh i can't believe you're not watching Community and Parks & Rec already! My enjoyment of Community has burned out considerably this season, but Parks & Rec is the equivalent of all joy in the universe.

Deangelo is a terrible person.

Yeeeeaaaahhh. I had high hopes from his very first scene because i kind of enjoy people being Michael duplicates (Holly!), but now... yikes.

WHAT.

WHAT.

WHAT.

I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS.

WHAT.

YUUUUUUUUUUUP.

WELCOME TO THE HELL THAT IS THE NORMAL PASSAGE OF TIME. Post-marathons are the worst!

Lyra and Will + Joshua Jackson's eyes = dskfjadghad?!

AND ANNA TORV'S FACE asfkjsfbsgrehnfgdgf ;______;

I liked last week switching back and forth and having a fair amount of Altlivia asskicking and i was expecting this week to at least have Lincoln and Charlie busting her out and going rogue (!!!!!!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE) but now... uh. What... is... the deal. I JUST WANT THE ALT FRINGE TEAM TO TEAM UP WITH OUR GUYS AND SAVE BOTH THE WORLDS AND FOR EVERYONE I LIKE TO SURVIVE, IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK?? ;_________; goddammit Lincoln and Altlivia didn't even kiss last week like i thought they were going to and i swear to god if he ends up sacrificing himself for Altlivia and dying in her arms as she tells him "i love you" i am going to murder someone in cold blood, no regrets.I just felt like I needed to quote that and just 'WORD' the hell outta it and like high five you and whatnot ( ... )

On the one hand i'm impressed that they managed to throw everyone for a loop and take this in a direction no one was expecting... but on the other hand I'M JUST CONFUSED AND SCARED especially since they only have one episode to explain themselves/RESOLVE ANYTHING.

THE YELLOW UNIVERSE SHOULD BE WHERE CHARLIE/OLIVIA HAVE FUN SEXYTIMES DAMMIT!

THIS EXACTLY. I REFUSE TO ACCEPT A YELLOWVERSE WHERE THIS IS NOT THE CASE. AND IF THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE I DEMAND TO BE PRESENTED WITH DIFFERENT UNIVERSES UNTIL THEY GET IT RIGHT.

Just, yes. All this.

I'm anxious to see how they explain this in one ep.

If we don't get Charlie/Olivia in some way, in some universe, at some time, somehow, then I will riot.
