This takes tumblr off my to-do-list, so thanks for that. :D
And Community gets awesomer and awesomer all the time. Most weeks, I just watch that and then turn the TV off, but tonight I managed to stay tuned in for the Return of Floyd. Oh Liz Lemon, I totally preferred the B- and C-storylines this time!
Hahaha, well, i mean, it has pretty pictures! And is a good time-waster! It's not totally worthless! But it is also kind of like... if fandom got into chain letters, in a way.
For as much time as i've spent wishing for Floyd to come back again, i had hoped it would be better than THAT. Sigh.
And it's often attached to characters that have physical prowess (ie can swing a sword, fire a machine gun) or can "PWN" anyone in a verbal smackdown, making the statement that those characters are more worthy of adulation than everyone else.
EXACTLY. And like, yeah, i fucking love strong women too, but even if we're reclaiming the word "bitch" as a positive it's still kind of insulting to label them that, and it still has all the connotations of being mean/rude/basically an obnoxious jerk. Being headstrong and having agency does not and should not automatically be reduced to an essentially negative descriptor.
And they could make it a little easier to connect with people because I miss talking to you guys, THE OLD CREWWWWW, THE OLD GANGGGGGGG (um, sorry) but I never want to clutter up peoples dashboards.I know! Even if i see something i want to comment on, i don't want to be forced to reblog it, and having an actual conversation is out of the question because i refuse to reblog something more than twice. So, yeah, yay the gang's

Heh, I feel you on Tumblr, I do. Maybe this is why it's taking me so long to get back into the groove of it after being out of town... And yet I can't seem to stay away completely. Maybe I've been infected. (These days I just hope I don't annoy people. I have to smile when I see someone awesome, like you, heart something that I've posted. :3)
Haha, infected is right. Despite my annoyance with tumblr i still check it quite a bit every day. The amount of constantly rotating new stuff is addictive.
I'm sure you don't annoy people! You don't annoy me! I LOVE all the MJ stuff you post and your enthusiasm is delightfully infectious (totally different than the tumblr infection).
It's like crack that way, honestly. When I first started (which was ALL NICOLE'S FAULT), I was like "...Okay, now what?" Hoho, how the mighty have fallen.
I LOVE all the MJ stuff you post and your enthusiasm is delightfully infectious (totally different than the tumblr infection). Aww, thanks BB. I'm very glad to hear that! ♥
i have grown to fucking hate the term "Head Bitch In Charge" and seeing its abbreviation is enough to make me want to commit physical violence. IT'S LIKE YOU CAN READ MY MIND.
The Britta dark-cloud-that-holds-them-together thing reminds me of how my nemesis in high school told me that I reminded him of a rainbow made up of several different shades of black. It doesn't make sense (Black is black! Once it becomes something else it turns into gray!) and it wasn't complementary, but you know. BRITTA IS MY FAAAAVORITE.
The Leslie/Ron friendship is the best thing about Parks & Recreation.
and posting within a larger fandom context makes me involuntarily start censoring myself and weighing the importance of each post more heavily, because there are SO MANY POSTS that everything becomes white noise and i dislike burdening others with my own personal nonsense?I know exactly what you mean! I'm trying really hard to scrutinize what exactly I reblog but it's not working. I still post 10-15 times a day and as there's no real personalized

This, in turn, reminds me of a lyric from the Xiu Xiu song "Crank Heart": "her school colors, black and light black." It doesn't make sense, but that's why i like it! In any case, your nemesis was an idiot.
I still post 10-15 times a day and as there's no real personalized feedback system like LJ commenting, I don't care that much if people don't like what they see.
That is a good way to look at it! The only way i'm ever truly free is if there's no feedback system at ALL (and that just defeats the purpose of posting things to the internet). Tumblr's reblogging and likes still make me self-conscious. Ugggh, i am a crazyperson.
