Okay, so I never got into the online thing for it (ever, this was wayyyy before I ever even dipped my toes into fandom waters of any kind), I have still never even SEEN any of the extended versions (I KNOW!), and it's been so long since I read the trilogy I barely remember it (weirdly, I read The Hobbit last and remember it slightly better?), but... DUDE.
I have so much love for the films. You're right, they're not perfect, but... damn, they are so epic and amazing and beautiful (your caps reminded me of this totally needlessly yet wonderfully!), and there is at least one moment in each one that makes me slightly weepy. And then Pippin's Song in Rotk DOES make me cry, like a little bitch.
Okay, Zellie is done rambling needlessly now! In conclusion: Lord of the RINNNNGS! :D

It's such a short song! But it gives me chills, every time. The way it's edited, cut with all those soldiers riding off to die is just... tragic and perfect.
I remember that! That was amazing. Like you say, recognition for the fantasy nerds! It's funny, because I'm not really into sci-fi or fantasy (yes, there are a few exceptions to both, but on the whole: no), but even I felt all happy about that. It was too awesome not to.

And that picture of Frodo in the 4th row down on the left was always my favorite. Such pretty, pretty eyelashes.
MINE TOO! Of course when i think about it i have at least a few favorites, but i've always loved that one a ton. EYELASHES. And his little ruddy cheeks! So preeeetttyyyy.

THOUGH the reason you didn't see it the first time is probably that it's only in the extended edition of the movie.
Oh yeah, i knew that. I meant i didn't remember saying that about that specific scene from the book. I was so pissed when all there was of Eowyn/Faramir in the theatrical version was... them looking at each other at Aragorn's coronation. UH, THANKS?!??

Thank you, it's wonderful. I missed these movies, now I think it's time for a rewatch.
