I have nothing to do here. It's so ... dull. I miss Neko my mob home having a purpose.

And yet, there hardly seems to be anything familiar here at all. When I first arrived here, I wondered about what was keeping me from leaving.

I suppose the better question would be who or what is keeping us here? And for what purpose

I don't suppose you've read the guide to the City? I had thought that covered most of the details. The general belief superstition here is that the bureaucratic 'deities' have a hold on us for some purpose unknown to us. They insult us and torment us, but we're apparently useful. Theories abound, but they're nothing more than theories.

In short, there is no easy way out. Good luck at trying to get loose from this place. There have been attempts, both magical and scientific, to escape, but none has worked.

It's no reason to stop trying, obviously, but you ought to know just what sort of a labyrinth you're in.

But therein lies the problem. Everything seems to be theoretical. Even the so-called deities -- it would be rather interesting to--

Ah, but that's not something I'm going to talk about here.

As it is ... I want to find something out that is not a theory. So while the guide you speak of is rather useful in other aspects, it's lacking in what I need.

You are welcome, but I think you'll be hard-pressed to find something that is not theoretical. The in-fighting and petty squabbles tend to distract most of the citizens from the facts.

I think if you are to find anything out, you'll have to find it out yourself. Such has been my observation.

And, as you say, you may not wish to gather such facts from the 'deities' themselves.
