He glanced up as the door opened, and chuckled at McCoy's comment; he'd already poured himself a glass while he was waiting for the doctor to show up, and now that McCoy was here, he poured out another glass and slid it over his way as the doctor sat down. "What've you got, then?" He beckoned for McCoy to hand the PADD over, hoping there'd be something in the files that would give them some kind of hint to.... well. Anything, really.

Bones uploaded the data to the viewing monitor at the table. "I haven't really looked at much, but I promise you I probably won't understand half this shit in that chicken scratch they call a language."

He took the glass and inspected the whiskey. "Is this the bourbon or the rye?" It didn't matter to him, although secretly he was a bit more partial to the bourbon, and took a sip as Scotty replied with his answer. "Not bad..."

He was only half paying attention to McCoy's question; he'd leaned in the moment the data came up on the monitor, trying to remember what little Klingon he'd been made to learn in the Academy, which admittedly wasn't much. "What is this... Er... If that's.... no..." He was talking to himself as he navigated through the data, his brow creased in concentration. "Fuck if I can remember any o' this."

"Go back to the last slide... wait, not that one the one before... yeah." Bones navigated Scotty and took another sip, feeling the liquid burn the back of his throat as it went down.

When Scotty stopped it was blue print of some part of the ship. "That's some engineering stuff, isn't it?" He didn't know, but at least it was a picture, right?
