Swinging her feet in the water, she turned to give Tom a small look of surprise, her heart warming at the nickname Tom had given her. She couldn't remember the last time someone had given her a nickname, and she hadn't wanted to smack them over the head for calling her something ridiculous. Her smile grew at the kiss to her cheek, unconsciously moving herself closer to him as he sat down

Martha grinned crookedly from the corner of her eye as she watched Tom place his hat on his head. When she'd told him to bring one, she hadn't expected him to actually do it, but he was always full of surprises it seemed. Casting her hook into the water she lent closer to Tom as he rubbed her back, feeling happier then she could remember being in a long time.
Laughing softly she raised an eyebrow over at him, wondering why she hadn't seen him on her morning and evening runs. 'I have to say running where there's actual scenery is a significant improvement over the holodecks. I felt like I'd have to plaster up some pictures on a few walls, just to know where I was going half the time.' She watched her line slice through the water, not all that interested in catching anything, rather just spend a few calm moments with Tom by themselves. It felt like they hadn't had a moment to themselves in weeks, too busy running around trying to catch up on patrols and helping people. She didn't even want to think about all of the men they'd lost in
