I just got home from my allergist appointment.  I got a skin test for food allergies, and apparently have none.  That is not what I expected, since every time I eat, say, almonds, I get hives.  I saw the specific "poker" for almonds, though, and no reaction.  WTF?  Strawberries attack me sometimes, too.  ???

I have a friend who can eat stuff like strawberries & raspberries when she buys organic or grows them herself; it's the residual pesticides on the ones from the grocery store that make her get hives and throw up. Maybe that's the problem.

Word. I think that's part of the patch testing - chemical reactions.
I'm more and more tempted to tinker with my budget (i.e. quit buying frikkin mags and cds!) and just make the trip into Nashville to Wild Oats. It's a big, natural foods supermarket. Heh, and Nicole Kidman hangs out there all the time now that she lives in town part time with her country star hubby.

Man, me too. I should have some sort of answers from my bloodwork in 1-2 weeks.
I think the docs wanted to say lupus or something but wouldn't outright go there without evidence. I hope they don't find shit if that's going to be the answer.
