Waving hello and probably not even drowning.

I've been having an inordinate amount of fun lately - the weather's (slightly) cooler, there are fun things to do around town, and friends have come a-visiting. Some highlights:

- Hiking around fabulously awesome places like Tonto Natural Bridge, Sedona's Oak Creek Canyon, South Mountain, and Camelback Mountain.

- Checking out a kick-ass local Read more... )

Wow! That's a lot of stuff!

IMO, if you haven't seen results by your third visit, you might consider finding a different acupuncture practitioner. That person could be really awesome, but if s/he's not connecting with you somehow to get results...well. Maybe you're just not a good match, you know?

You know, after your comment and a similar one from another friend who gets acupuncture, I called the guy and told him that I wasn't going to schedule any more appointments. I used the money I saved to check out a reflexologist - he was half as expensive and about one hundred times more effective. So thanks for the nudge!

I'm interested in the new venue.

This place does local music, too. Great place to eat and listen to music - The Compound Grill. It is up by us- straight up the 101 at Scottsdale Road.

I'd love the see the gardens! You are working with a community garden? How awesome!

Hey! We're going to Crescent Ballroom tomorrow (Monday) night to see Black Carl and another group called The Uptown Sound. Soul and funk - should be a good time! Would love to see you if you could make it. If not, let's get together sometime soon!

Compound Grill looks really intriguing - anything coming up that you are thinking about checking out?

The community garden is at MCC - I'd love to show it off to you sometime. Need any lettuce or bok choy?

Are you stil climbing at PRG? I've missed climbing dearly; maybe I'll pick it back up in January if I can figure out a time to do it that doesn't conflict with my running schedule.

I am still climbing. Also climbing at AZR. Also climbing a little bit outdoors. But yeah, I would LOVE it to have my old partner back.

I would like to see both of your gardens. How cool!

Tonight was open, but then closed up. :( Sorry. Please keep me updated. I do want to see more of the local scene.

Oh my yes you have such lovely places to go hiking around in! Seems funny to me to think that you're planting things in October. When I was growing up, that's when we'd be finishing up the last of the cleaning up of our backyard garden, often piling all the pulled up debris and lighting it for a bonfire in the now cleared dirt. So did that acupuncture eventually help your shoulder and foot pain?

The acupuncture did nothing, so I finally gave it up. My shoulder got worse; I was stretching and yawning one day and felt something "pop". It took a steroid shot to the muscle tissue to alleviate the swelling. My foot is an ongoing issue, but I found a really good (and cheap!) reflexologist that works magic on me.
