I think we were talking about meeting up at Sergei's.
And you got squirted 'cause you're not rambling enough on the comms. Gotta say something more often than you do. [Which is...weird to say to Blurr o_O]
I believe I did se that mentioned, but at the moment we're still awaiting permission. I'm not entirely sure why that location would be better than any other for something like this.
Ah yes, I did note that habit as well. It didn't seem very important and I wasn't sure why it wasn't doing it to me. Isn't it a little strange that it would wait until I was in the middle of speaking in order to alert me that I should be speaking more often than I have been recently.
Well, maybe...somewhere more open that doesn't require permission? Like, the forest or something. [Not the flower field never the stupid flower field.]
That could be more convenient. Even any other place that isn't run by other passengers would be acceptable, especially if those that run Sergei's are concerned about the state their establishment might be in if our negotiations don't go as smoothly as planned. [Blurr will not suggest the flower field. 8( If only because the idea of making a truce with Decepticons surrounded by flowers is a highly surreal one.]
I don't know what lesson it could possibly be teaching me that reprimanding me normally would not do so. [Like maybe, don't keep your trap shut or we'll shove something in it for you? No, that sounds weird too.]
[Shockwave hear's the squirt and the splutter, and actually chuckles for once. It's been a while.]
Now, now, dear Blurr. You told me that was a reprimand quite simple to avoid when it happened to me.
Calm that pede of yours. If you wish it to proceed at a speed you are more inclined to, perhaps we should allow you to handle obtaining permissions from the owners of Sergei's?
[Well, he's so glad to be lightening your mood. 8|]
It's not that I was trying to avoid it. It didn't seem terribly important to do so, but it's strange that it would choose to reprimand me for not speaking often enough while I'm in the middle of actually speaking.
I wouldn't be averse to speaking to those that own the establishment, I simply don't fully understand why it's necessary that Sergei's is where we all meet. I'm more than used to the speed at which bureaucracy moves, believe me, but I can't exactly see any point to it this time.
Sometimes I wonder if these devices have a sense of humor where these things are concerned.
As I mentioned to Ratchet, if you have other suggestions, I am willing to hear them. [He quirks his antennae forward, though it can't be seen.] Advocating the speed at which my faction works? Why, Blurr. I am shocked.
[OBVIOUSLY. Turnabout also makes Blurr huffy, it seems!]
I fail to see exactly what's so funny about it.
Having mentioned this to Mikaela, she also mentioned that meeting in an open space that doesn't require permission, such as the forest, would be a definite possibility. It would certainly avoid the problem of having to put off the truce even longer while we gather permission. While we can't completely guarantee the state of their establishment if the proceedings don't go as smoothly as we hope, it might be best to simply meet elsewhere.
[That last bit throws him, and he sounds slightly affronted, but mostly confused.] When exactly did I mention your faction? It isn't as if the entire Autobot faction works at the speed of bureaucracy, and in many cases when it is in place it is necessary and helps things run more smoothly even if I don't enjoy waiting around for it, but putting up red tape where there simply does not need to be any seems ridiculous.
I am well aware of that, Ironhide; I phrased things very carefully. Those interested in attending the truce discussions are in agreement, or in as much agreement as we can be at any rate, and are simply awaiting the location. Your lack of interest is understandable, but I hope you won't think that we don't have a healthy suspicion of the situation. I can hardly speak for Ratchet on this matter, but I hardly see how it's "yielding to a plot" to make our current situation as official as possible so as to be able to hold the Decepticons fully accountable if they make any moves against ourselves or any of the civilians on board this vessel.
[... It's like being lectured by a humming bird. Or Sam on speed.]
Hmpf. Yeah. Guess so.
You do not seem to. You all act as if this is sent from the All Spark itself. It was an idea concocted by a Decepticon. And the last time we were in any sort of alliance with them, they betrayed us. They will again.
... and I do not see how this makes them more culpable.
[Yeah, he just kinda keeps going until your optics glaze, doesn't he?]
From the All Spark itself? Of course it wouldn't be something like that, it isn't even a blessing but instead something that should be the case. And while the idea of making the truce formal was concocted, as you say, by a Decepticon, and one that I am well aware can lie and betray with a guileless faceplate for that matter, the truce itself seems to have been in place informally for quite some time.
It may not hold them any more culpable for their actions. However, it will make retaliation and punishment both more reasonable and more efficient, and will be a chance to lay out clear rules which we expect them not to break if they do not wish to deal with the consequences.
That I am aware of. But I fail to see the logic in a system that "reminds" the user to speak every so often while they are in the middle of speaking. That just doesn't make any sense.
Isn't zhis ze second time jou've been squirted for not speaking enough? I'm surprised, Blurr. I thought jou vere talkative enough to keep zhat particular system off jour back.
While it's simple enough to avoid, it's also simple to ignore and doesn't have any real negative effects. I didn't see the purpose in speaking up publicly merely to avoid a completely harmless stream of water.
