HP fandom is so batshit crazy. I love HP to death and want to read fic for it and stuff, but I'm so scared of diving into the pits of fiery HP fandom hell to find anything. There's too much crap to wade through to get to the good stuff because the fandom is so huge. I need to just find myself some rec lists by people I trust (I'm so lazy haha).

I have some recs here, but it's not a lot. I lost a lot of links to the really good ones. But yeah, the fandom is crazy huge and just plain crazy. The ship wars alone...

I don't even let myself think about my HP ships because that alone would get me shunned or something. I'm pretty flexible in the HP fandom, though, there are more ships that I like than I dislike.

Why would you get shunned? Us fans have to stick together! It's Snarry all the way for me for my fave HP pairing. <3 I still remember when it was just a fledgling pairing too, not when there was like hardly any of the pairing out, but pretty close. =P

Thanks for the link. I've never been a part of the HP fandom, although I love the books, because it seems so crazy and all. Plus I actually like all of the canon ships, so I don't have as much of a need to find stuff to satisfy me. But ANYWAY, I love reading crazy stuff like this, and it is quite interesting. I know what my evening's going to consist of now.

Haha, yeah... it's cooled down a little, I think, but I'm not sure -- haven't been an active participant of the fandom since 2004, so. :p I like the canon pairings too, and never really was all that interested in reading fic for it -- I've got the books for the canon pairings, you know? XD

Yeah, exactly. I was satisfied enough with the books to not have to (or want to) get involved with fandom.

Yep, totally. I mostly just read Draco/Hermione -- of course, at one point I was convinced it would be canon, but then JKR shot that down, so. XD

Oh, man. I started reading it and got somewhere into the seventh chapter and just kind of gave up. It was a good read though, I will agree.

Of what I could handle reading though. Some people are absolutely nuts.
