First of all - tomorrow, Thursday. November 8, 2007, is the last day to take advantage of the lifetime transfer offer on the TiVo HD. I want to thank you for pointing us towards the lifetime transfer offer. We have ordered a TiVo HD and will finally replace the Sony Series 1 that we bought in August 2001. (A few years ago, you helped us fix it by telling us where to order a modem kit...)

I don't think so - IIRC the rules say no on that.

They said if I buy an HD box, I can have free life time service, but I don't have an HD tv, and I never plan to get one in the future. It's too much money. I don't know how I can benefit from my life time plan. I pay for my second tivo box by the month. The first one died, but they are saving my lifetime plan. By the way, I am up and running again. I love Tivo.
