Essays should not be so fucking hard!!!! How hard is it to summarise 7 bloody weeks of learning in 2000 words with at least 6 different references???

Can't find more than three damn references.

*hugs and sympathises* Do you have access to journal databases for articles? They're bloody useful for references, though finding the right articles can take a while.

I do. That's my next stop. However I have started writing my essay and am still stuck on the inro. *headdesk* also, hopefully I have managed to do my first reference properly. First reference being my text book. I've spent the past hour and a half typing and re-typing and intro that is still only 150 words long. *sigh*. Good thing I've given myself all of tonight and most of tomorrow to finish this.

If you want some help with essay structure I'm more than happy to offer it. Essays are arcane beasts, difficult to wrangle if you're not used to them :p
I'll be home all night, and can arrange time tomorrow morning as well.

Cool! It's just starting that is irritating. Can e-mail you what I've written so far? It would help if I could contact someone periodically to make sure I'm doing it right. Would rather not do it in person 'cause I have a tendency to procrastinate when not actively at computer typing. Heh heh, I guess this is a type of procrastination too.

Another thing I might suggest is to skip the intro for now, and get into the essay proper. A lot of people prefer to leave the intro and conclusion for last, as they have a better idea then of what they're introducing and concluding.

It'll get easier as you go along, of that I can assure you. Some topics are just bitchy though, no matter how benign they may seem at first. Sometimes, the words will flow from your fingertips like wine. Others, it's like trying to extract shit from a constipated duck.
