The fic started immediately after the village. Pretty much what happened in canon, just with tentacles and Cloud interrupting Seph at the very end.

Oh, wow~ It floored me when I checked my friend's list and this was at the top.

I adore, adore this. Cloud is understanding a little bit more, and now he's in on Sephiroth's and Zack's Soldier conspiracy and now Vincent's and Reno's (eventually Rufus, Tseng and the other Turks?) conspiracy as well. Vali continues to be love.

I guess I should stalk you more...I was just doing a re-read of this, and found the update even before it hit my friends page! I'm not a canon!Cloud fan...in the game he reminded me of a teenaged boy, in spite of being 22...and I know I've said it elsewhere, but teenaged boys annoyed me even when I was a teenager...but I love your Cloud. He's adorably competent, if not confident.

By the way, some of the later parts don't appear on your FFVII master list, and several don't have next part links at the bottom. Those little "next" links make it easier for people like me, who occasionally go on an epic re-reading fest, to navigate.

Doesn't that make sense, though?

He was experimented on and catatonic for the years between 17 and 22, which means not much time for emotional growth, so he was mentally and emotionally a teenage boy.
