...eeeeeeeee! Poor Cloud, he's got to be even more confused now. But at least he's got something remotely like hope that someone will explain something rightthefucknow! And weird Turks being weird! At this point, Cloud isn't even surprised to come in and find a bundle of tied-up Reno. Possibly a bit annoyed, yes. Surprised, not so much.

Commentary of fic between me and Dina as I read:

arin: ...this with Zack is going to end badly. Cloud does not do well in the role of protectee, especially when he knows damn well someone isn't telling him something and he has minimal grasp of his own importance
artimusdin: No, no he doesn't. In the slightest.
arin: Zack, you can't keep mentioning a conspiracy and giving cryptic comments without explaining anything and expect Cloud to put up with that shit
artimusdin: Vincent, oddly enough, is handling him quite well.
arin: Vincent has yet to tell Cloud to 'stay in the kitchen' until it's safe. He correctly assumed Cloud would ignore him completely so instead is just tailing him in case shit happens.
arin: *dies at image of Reno tied to a bed*
arin: what I love about Reno is that it is equal parts plausible that he a) snuck in to grope Cloud, b) snuck in to try and recruit him, or c) snuck in to try and kill him <3
