It's been an odd year so far...I have been far less communicative than I have in a long time--and it's not necessarily a bad thing--but I have simply felt the need to process much of my life internally.  I'm not so quick anymore to vomit up every feeling onto the floor before I look at it and try to figure out what it is.  It's been a rough few

Forty looms ahead, and I am feeling much the same.

I could have written your post, actually; just change the ages of the kids to "nearly sixteen" and "nine" and we're there. I, too, have a good man and the desire to stay quiet(er). I feel bad sometimes, because I know that some folks have come to expect things from me, but it is what it is.
