In case you cared, Italy and the US just played each other in the world cup and ended in a draw, which is all very heady and existential for a lady like me who ( Read more... )

Is that sung to the tune of 'Walk on the Wild Side'?

Glad to hear you enjoyed tonight's game. I tend to root for the Yanks and against the Eyeties in the World Cup, but I was pondering your allegiance as the red cards flew.

I was cheering on Italy--mostly because the win would mean far more to the Italians than the Americans. I talked to my dad in Chicago and he was also cheering for Italy for the same reason. I have to admit though that I did feel some guilt though when they showed a close-up of Beasley, who had always been my favourite player on the Chicago Fire.

Good! I hope it made you dance.

It has been pointed out to me that the word is spelled 'corpuscular' and therefore it has close to nothing in common with the word 'crepes'. I insist that I was speaking French though, where I'm sure 'corpuscular' is spelled something like 'crepusculare'. I think I saw it on a sign somewhere. I'm sure of it.

Um, and you in Thailand?! Yeah, we are not keeping in touch enough!!!

I didn't get a chance to eat your raspberry macaroon, but I *did* have many other yummy pastries. And now that I've been to Belgium, I can officially say that Belgian Waffles really are INCREDIBLE! And belgian beer. And belgian chocolate. Ah, the food and drink of travel...
