Such awesomeness (and yes that was sarcasm). I just spent hours translating the dub-con, wincest fic that is my previous entry into Finnish (it's here on AO3). The reason? So mom can read it in a language that she has an emotional connection to (or however you say that in English). She understands English okay...ish, but she's far from comfortable ( Read more... )

Much as I love the story... yeah, I can see why. :)

...and mom liked my wincest. O.O Or at least she thinks it's well written, I don't know how much she likes the wincest and I'm probably not going to ask... or the whole gay sex thing either.

And for some reason I felt the need to go and tell mom after she read the Finnish version that "now do you see why I was uncomfortable writing it... I mean not because I mind that they're brothers, because I don't..." As if my mom was worried that I disapprove of incest. *headdesk* I could have left that last part out. I totally could have. And let my mom go on thinking that incest makes me uncomfortable.

It's my own fault. My mom wouldn't know about slash if I hadn't told her. I have a tendency to overshare. XD As you might have noticed. ^^;

Point her in a direction that's as far away from your lj as possible? ^^
