[#118] I'm still not sick of my default icon

That's it really for the title. *_________* I mean, i wasn't sick of my last one, but I'm not entirely sure it showed up because it was past my default 15. lolol (it showed up for me anyway and that's good enough. Cough.)

i. I watched eps 2-3 of Strawberry Night last night and DUDE, this drama only serves to infuriate me. ( not because of the drama, but because of ONE particular character. )

strawberry night, my shipping hat is easy (like me), rambling is what i'm good at, am i being analytical? wth?, takeuchi yuko is the best ever, akanishi jin is smex on paper (and off), relationships in the entertainment busin, kuroki meisa is hot with a capital h

this is not an opinion in any way shape or form, but the goodbye America, at least on cyworld or etc, is because Jin now has a new wife and possibly a new, pregnant wife. That means he CANNOT, if he is the person he claims to be, go and live in LA on and off 6 months a year. If she is pregnant, between his concerts, redubs, and promotions for his film in the US, he is going to miss most of her pregnancy, leaving her alone. Japanese fans, at the moment, think that, since Meisa has her own, active career in Japan, she's not just going to give it up to follow him around the world like a puppy. And so he's going to have to make some decisions. It's just timing-wise, this is very poor. Basically the logic is Jin's going to have to slack off a lot in his overseas promoting or be a deadbeat dad ( ... )

Oh, I see. That first paragraph makes a lot of sense. I was sincerely wondering where people were going. I had thought, this entire time, that people were saying Goodbye America in a, Americans are going to reject him and such, his career here is over. But I understand the idea that he may slack in his American activities now that he would likely stay in Japan more because of his new family.

(Personally, I've been avoiding most LJ comments to posts on this--on the big comm sites that is. Like arama especially. o.o XD)

I agree with it's his life. ♥

I was just going to comment along these lines! The "Good-bye, America" isn't because Americans care if he's a father or not but more for logistic purposes.

Really, though, celebs gonna do what celebs gonna do... will be interesting to follow this and see how they both do.

i hope he takes a leaf out of miyavi's book and brings both wife and baby on tour with him (next time, obviously) and holds the little baby up on stage like simba. xD

ALSO: PRETTIEST CHILD EVER. EVER.

i really don't know what the big fucking deal is. people get married and have babies all the time in hollywood and go back to work. j-lo, beyonce, etc. hell, meisa could learn english and work here as an actress or something. she'd probably only get skanky roles a la kitagawa keiko in fast & furious 3, but everyone has to start somewhere.

and jin is 27 years old. only in je do people wait until they're 30/40 to get married, jfc. if anything this whole ordeal just reminds me that they're real people who are shit at contraception and are taking responsibility for their business. good on both of them.

PRETTIEST. BABY.

OHMAN YES. I was telling C about this and she was like, OMG, WOULDN'T IT BE AWESOME IF MEISA WAS WITH HIM ON TOUR? Or she commented that maybe if they do the reveal of pregnancy, Jin would pull a Beyonce and hold his stomach at some point during his concert performance. XDDDDD

I don't really understand the backlash either? Well, other than people just getting whiplash from how fast it is, but we don't know what their lives are like, so since ppl are basing it on the rumor a few weeks ago, they're assuming that this moved quickly. But agreed on the age thing. (lol to shit at contraception. XD)

DEFINITELY PRETTY. omg, i know we're all going to go AWWWWW when/if pictures come out. XD)

I feel like the ppl making these kinds of negative comments have no idea what real life is like lol. Maybe she will come to the US with him and the baby will be born in LA. I mean, if she is pregnant, she will have to take some time off starting in a few months so she might as well do it in LA. Their moms can come with them or something--after all, isn't Jin's mom only in her early 40s? That's young enough to enjoy a grandchild--she's probably feeling nostalgic for babies right around now ;-)

In any case, it's not like being pg or having a small child prevents you from doing things, it just makes it more complicated. Also, none of the negative comments fans have made so far--Jin will not get signed by a US company, the jimusho will kick him out, etc--have come true. Not to say that the negativity will never prove true but you always have to look at the track record.

But yeah, their type of life makes it hard to have a settled family existence.
