Your art is amazing. I would buy originals from you without a doubt. My one piece of advice is never to let your teachers/professors break you down. I have a good friend who is a wonderful artist (and I'll show you her stuff if you want) but in college she was always told she wasn't good enough and it ruined art completely for her. I would hate to see that happen to you. There's a difference between constructive criticism and malice.
I would love to see your friend's art sometime. It's terrible to hear that the people who are supposed to encourage her ended up destroying her interest in art. :(
Steampunk!Layton and Luke are so cute~! So is duckling!Chase, ahaha. XD
I can totally see you as an animator or illustrator. I really do enjoy your style and you tend to be able to draw in a number of different ones, too. Good luck in whatever you endeavor! *hugs*
If art makes you feel more yourself and more centred then usually things start falling into place of you start following it up. I think the only thing that being self-taught means is getting some sort of paper to state how advanced you are but you've at least kept up your drawing and aren't rusty or unable to draw as well as you used to.
Your creativity is still in ascendence because you've maintained your ability. :)
ETA: forgot to mention, you know I think your art is always awesome, right?
You've always had a way of making me look at things from a different perspective, even when those things had been right in front of my face. So thank you. I am definitely making an effort to commit myself to drawing more, and getting the practice in.

Hee, it makes me happy to hear you enjoy my style. I hope I'll be able to find my way through the art world without getting significantly discouraged!
