I tried to like Fringe. I really, sincerely did, because X-Files is AMAZING. I adore paranormal stories in general, but wow. I thought Fringe had mediocre character motivation at best, like it really tried to establish urgency but fell flat on its face in uhhh THIS IS GETTING TOO RIDICULOUS WEIRDSVILLE instead. I mean, and I was expecting weird, but I like weird even better when it's not flimsily written.

HURRAH FOR HOUSE.

I think I've been desensitized to Jam promotions. I am quite ace at tuning out their frequency! :D But I don't really mind blatant pairing ads if the pairings are long running and established? Does that make sense? Haha, I just have this THING against commercials repeatedly lauding HAY, AUDIENCE, KEEP A LOOK OUT FOR THIS ADORABLE FROLICKING when the pairing hasn't really... gone anywhere yet. So I'll say it again: YEAST INFECTIONS. TOTALLY SUITABLE, AS THEY ALSO GIVE NO RELIEF.

Oh, dear! "Fringe" starts tonight in Australia, and I was going to tape it to watch when I have some spare time next week - should I not bother wasting the space on the tape? lol

After a fat chunk of last season - especially the fourth-last and third-last episodes of season 4, the first 2 to be released after the writers' strike, and shit, did it SHOW! - being really unimpressed with "House", after the killer season finale I'm really looking forward to thwe show's return: it's back on this coming Wednesday, the 24th! EEEEEEEEEE!

Woo me with a good plot, snarky dialogue and more gay doctor subtext than I can shake a stick at.

My personal opinion is you should stay as far away from that show as possible, but to each their own?

YEAH I WAS for the most part disappointed with last season, but if the writing stays as consistently awesome as the S4 finale, I am all over and up for S5. COME ON, HOUSE/WILSON ANGST, I INVITE YOU TO ROCK MY WORLD.

You and I have pretty much the same opinions, methinks. I will tape it, and when I eventually watch it, we can have a probably one-sided "debate" about how much it sucked the show's good and bad points. ;)
