House MD premieres tonight! I'm super excited. It's the first of my shows to air this season, and I desperately need some redeeming television after subjecting myself to inexplicably bad True Blood and Fringe, which, by the way, were both so shittily written I have to implore: Sweet Jesus, who were the test audiences for these shows and why did ( Read more... )

I watched half of the pilot for Fringe and it gave me a lot of goosebumps from the whole MELTING FACES thing.

That part was totally vomit inducing. YEAH, not a fan of gelatinous human remains.

I don't know about True Blood... but well... Fringe *is* by J.J. Abrams.

I hope House turns out better for you!

True Blood is brought to us courtesy of the creator of Six Feet Under, which I was never crazy about to begin with despite its rave reviews and acclaim so. Even though the mood is different on the two shows, I'm not incredibly surprised True Blood leaves me cold.

I enjoyed House. It left me smiling. :D

Fringe is bad? That's a pity, they seem to really be pushing it over here at the moment.

True Blood sounds interesting from a plot synopsis aspect so it's not great to hear that news either.

Personally I gave up on House around the start of season 3, it just failed to hold my interest compared to some of the other shows that started up around then.

My father and I both give Fringe two thumbs down. It's not that the show royally screws up anything, either. It's just all these gajillion subtleties that come together to give me a headache, like everything in the production is missing one critical thing that I can't quite pinpoint but know to exist because the characters don't incite any emotional reaction from me.

My interest in House started waning around Season 4. But the thing is I'm still in love with House/Wilson. I CANNOT RESIST the prospect for meaty angst. Oh the woe. :P
