Familial relationships in Chinese are not the easiest.

I love the specificity, like Dage... Wudi. I like Viki's translations better than Netflix's, because they go with First Brother... Fifth Brother, and we know from the Gege fiasco that Netflix goes with the character's name.

The problem (with all of them) is that the translations aren't consistent. Even the ones provided by Chinese productions themselves are obviously translated by different people for one drama. I would bet that if Netflix decided to sub another drama, the rules would be different again.

Viki of course has even more people involved, four translators per ep, and if you don't have a good editor it's just a mess. But at least those are fans, so they know about all the forms of address and don't mind them.

The coloring of 2 is sooo pretty! I love what you did with the palette.

Honestly, it's been so long since I watched Eureka, I don't remember much about this particular character. I think he came back a couple of times for flashbacks and there's definitely one with the Sheriff hallucinating him half-naked lol

That palette omg. /o\ I decided immediately that sticking to *only* those shades of red wasn't going to happen. After that, it was actually quite a quick and fun icon to make. :D

All I did was put his name into google image search, and, yes, he was half naked in a lot of those. :DD (I only didn't pick that scene because it was a little complicated to mask and didn't pop well.)
