...Adora. Poor dead Adora, truly a woman of myth and legend, or something. This canon demands a lot from us when it comes to filling in gaps, especially in the case of the late Mrs. Cain.

I love Cain/Adora but probably won't ever write it as a focus pairing, partly because we already know the ending ( ... )

I pegged her as the daughter of a Unionist minister, strict farm upbringing, but very loving. Their farm was about three miles from the ranch where Wyatt's family raised horses, so they knew each other from mid-childhood or so. It was a pretty conventional courtship; barn dances, work parties, that sort of thing. 'Dora did NOT tell her religious papa that she and her beau got frisky behind the smoke shed before they were legally wed, though.
