I think you have more space in your makeshift kitchen than we in our normal kitchen, haha! Reminds me to take pictures of our house soon. I don't think I've done that yet. Anyway; go you! I hope to see 'after pics' as well :)
Heheh, you're right. Space is not a problem. We do have a big-ass utility room. Storage is a bit more of a head-scratcher, though. :)
I'm certainly not complaining. I'm well aware we're living like kings. :) I'm still really proud of myself for turning our utility room not only into a functioning kitchen, but also a pretty homey living space. :)
I agree with Wolvster. Your makeshift kitchen is a bigass space and way bigger than my regular kitchen. Now, who is the spoiled brat here, girl?! *lol* But you totally deserve it. I'm curious about the new one.
Well, I've not exactly been complaining about any of this, I don't think. :)
Our utility room is extremely spacious, which is something most people comment on upon entering. It's not quite so generous when it comes to storage, though. (Not pictured: a box off to the side containing my food processor and cling film and other necessities.)
But like I said to Wolvster, I'm still really proud of myself for turning our utility room into both a functioning kitchen AND a homey living space.
The new one is not actually gonna be much different to look at, but way more practical. It's still gonna be white, and appliances are staying in the same locations, but we'll have drawers instead of cupboards, which will utilize the space much more efficiently. And instead of the tall bar, we'll have an island, also with drawers, and seats where the old barstools were, so no more table and chairs on the 'kitchen' side. Finally, our kitchen table will be a grey slate color, but much easier to maintain than that effin' wood. :p
Yes, it looks good. It's going to work well for a while. And I love to see you again because you always look good, no matter what angle. And bonus Molly! :D
Aw, thanks! I agree that the old kitchen *looked* ok, but it was old and crappy, and not very good for utilizing space. The stove was pretty shitty, and the wood countertop was a PITA to maintain.
